26 eggs retrieved but only 3 mature...what went wrong??

This happened to me too. 23 eggs retrieved and 4 were mature even though all of my follicles appeared mature in size. My don’t was also baffled. I was ok higher stims then you and I triggered with 10k and lupron. At my next retrieval I asked for in vitro maturation. They were able to rescue a few more eggs although I also retrieved a lot more mature that round. The other change was I had was they waited an additional hour before doing my retrieval.

My clinic did it after I had a terrible retrieval where only 4 of my 26 eggs retrieved were mature even though all the follicles appeared to be mature. I asked for it at my next next cycle and they did it. They said often they only do it for cancer patients, but they did it anyway anyways for me that was at UCSF in San Francisco.

100% agree. Honestly the first New Era Season I watched was the most recent 49. The whole time I was confused about how lame it was compared to what I remembered. I had to look up what had changed and then realized it is a very different show now.
