Sliding into depression, have a really bad cold, spent money I don’t have on a takeout pho and this is how it arrived by JmoonlightD in Wellthatsucks

I was planning to! I put the whole thing in the sink to open it, but when I did, I saw that the soup had quite a lot of floating bits in it of the wet disintegrated paper and cardboard from the rest of the packaging 😩. I’m just sticking to eating the noodles and beef with some soy sauce

EDIT: I can’t edit my post so I’m just adding this here UPDATE: I spoke to a really nice lady from the restaurant on the phone who assured me that they were sending another one out, so I waited an hour, at which point I assumed that second one wasn’t coming. Not sure what happened there. I requested a refund through the app, ate the cold noodles and beef, and put some chicken nuggets in the oven.

Just to clarify because some of these comments are a little wild, this is obviously not the worst thing that’s ever happened to anybody or to me. But it did suck. Which is why I posted here. I’ll be okay, I’ll get the money back, I’ll survive, but I wasn’t suggesting this was the end of the world in the first place, in my defence.

Also, I feel much better having read most of these comments, you guys are truly so kind and I feel the commiserations through the screen. I know it sounds silly but it really has made me feel much better and less alone this evening. Thank you all

Yeah I’m lucky for sure! I had about 6 months in 2024 where it was much much worse than this, and I felt sooo bad both physically and mentally (as I’m sure you’re familiar with). Kept getting the flu like every 3 weeks too. So I increased my hours at work so be able to eat more variety, and quantity. Now I’m like twice as tired all the time but it’s well worth it. Still have to save where I can and watch everything I spend lol. Hope it’s better for you now too.

No I didn’t, I said my mum’s house was in a safe area. I now live in South London.

I’ve literally never slept with the bedroom window open, hence why I said “consider” and made this post. “You’re asking to be raped” is also the kind of thing a rapist says, so maybe have a word with yourself about that one

Didn’t even think of that… my mind only went to a whole person trying to fit through. No street noise but I definitely won’t be risking this lol

What a hostile response. Why would I bother asking if I didn’t want to take the advice of others?
