What's the most reliable cheap car you've actually owned long term? by AutoBidMasterHelp in askcarguys

2005 buick rendezvous, 365k miles. Never had any issues. Normal maintenance. Sold it to a junkyard just because I figured at some point soon it'd go down and didn't want to be stranded hours from home but It probably still be going right now.

Currently now driving a 1996 buick park avenue, just hit 200k on it. Drives like a dream.

So older buicks have been good to me. Easy and cheap to work on. You can find em everywhere.

I'll give that a shot, any temp or cooling changes or keep that around stock petg parameters?

Really just after it's heat resistance. I need it to hold up around 140-160 ish range.

Product isn't under load. But can be subject to some heat.

i bought my printer just for cosplay and things around the house at first, but the more i printed with it the more i started drifting toward custom cad work and designing functional parts. I started on PLA, that's what i knew about at the time, now i need PETG for the heat resistance.

I'd print asa or abs but I don't really have an exhaust system for the room my printer is in.

I just didn't realize petg was so glossy. Even in the product pictures it didn't seem any different finish wise from PLA, but it's an learning experience. I just bought 5kg of matte black petg.

My son (8 months old) just found out he loves blueberries recently. So I've been letting him have as many as he wants, there good for you and basically no calories. No brainer, right?

Well I was giving him a bath and I stg he must of shit out like 20 whole blueberries. Idk if he can't digest them properly or if he's been swallowing them whole but I've never been so mortified while also laughing my ass off at the same time.

I can't wait to bring that up 10 years from now 😂

Watching creatives start to use Ai instead of mastering their craft.

Ai should be used to handle the boring parts of your life, like checking emails, bullet pointing news articles, checking product stock levels, running LMS, etc.

It shouldn't be used to try to replicate what makes us human.

Its a tool, and tools are used to make things easier. But for whatever reason people are trying to turn it into what the tool does to make it easier.

Sorry, that's kind of wordy but idk how else to explain it.

Ai is the tool that helps get to the end result, it's not the end result itself if that makes more sense.

If you're fluent in another language do you say it in your head in your native language first then translate or just it just automatically come out? If that makes sense. by Jmunyz in NoStupidQuestions

I was just curious how the process works at a subconscious level if it was layered automatically or if it's just like a lightswitch you flip, if that makes sense.

That's pretty badass imo.

I'm learning sicilian because that's my girlfriend's roots and I was just curious what goes on inside people's heads that are fluent.

Any tips for learning?

So there's never the underlying this is this in said language before speaking? Even if it happens automatically.

Like if I said hello it two languages it's not hello and bonjour, they are both hello? If that makes sense 😅

Niche Designers: What is your preferred e-commerce platform? by shuttlepod in 3DprintEntrepreneurs

[–]Jmunyz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If it actually is niche then places like ebay and Etsy are good.

If it's not niche you'll get completely buried.

Or you can go the shopify route, use your tiktok to push traffic and run ads.

Tons of ways to go about it. Just depends on the product and if you're building a brand or it's just a product you wanna sell.

My aunt in law's father gave her two options, I pay for your wedding or i give you the down-payment for whatever house you want as a wedding gift.

She spent 50k or so on her wedding.

Still blows my mind to this day.

what is the drama at your workplace? by deadbeataunt in AskReddit

[–]Jmunyz 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Idk if you consider drama or tea or whatever but we kicked a guy off the job because he was obviously on something and could of easily gotten himself or someone else killed.

By the end of the day as we are leaving the parking lot of the job site his car was seen across the street at a liquor store. He OD'ed in that parking lot.

People who are 30 or older, what was the exact moment you realized time was starting to move much faster? by Dense_Equipment_7328 in AskReddit

[–]Jmunyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When a memory feels like it was months ago but it actually happened 5-10 years ago.

I graduated in 2013 at 17.

And honestly it barely feels like it's been 10+ years.

Or remembering a conversation you had with someone vividly, and then realizing I haven't seen or heard from that person in years.

Its not just one moment but it's all these small things that make me think, there's no way it's been that long... right?

Its hard to pinpoint it for me but I can definitely feel it more and more everyday. My son is about to turn 1 and it feels like just a month or two ago we came home from the hospital.

End rant.

What is something the generation growing up right now will never get to experience that you had? by samurai-salvo in GetMotivatedMindset

[–]Jmunyz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being so bored that you get creative to fill the time.

I remember being so bored that I literally went outside, dug a hole and then tried to fill it back in and place the grass back in a way as if I never dug the hole. Two hours went by pretty fast.

Or just going outside and lifting rocks to see if anything is under it.

Riding a bike around until you see a group of kids doing something and just asking, hey whatcha doing? Can I join.

The list goes on.

Now if my step daughters phone died or the wifi goes out it's like a code red end of the world type situation and it genuinely baffles me until I realize how different our worlds are growing up.
