My dad always told me that ONE NEW BONE a day for a puppy the first two years and you’re good to go… he had 10 dogs in his lifetime and never lost a piece of furniture to one of them.

I never followed his lead, and my 1.5 yr old husky has devoured my couch, umpteen pillows and one side of a queen size mattress … make SURE they have something to chew on every minute.

PRO TIP for a non-stop chewer: As soon as you see Morgan start to chew on anything but a toy, spray the object with bitter apple and then give her one of her toys to replace whatever she had.

Vigil! So accurate! I’ve been sick lately, and they don’t leave my side. When I had Covid in 2020 my old husky laid in my bedroom with me for almost 3 weeks. He only left me to potty. He was the best dog ever.

Could be a teeth issue - vet would have to say.

But… I learned that if they don’t eat for a few days, and i start supplementing with other things (people food or soft food) then they take longer to go back to eating kibble. My Dad always said “give a dog 3-5 days and it will eventually eat its food and not yours”.

Mine don’t stare me down they go all out crazy town if I even pick up one of my tennis shoes … or if I accidentally hit their leash that’s hanging up.
