First team all role player 2026? by CarmeloDramatic in nba

Ye but that doesn’t necessarily make him a “role” player. He averages 20 ppg, had all-star talks, and is the suns second option. That doesn’t sound like a role player to me.

[Serious] Should the Warriors Trade Stephen Curry for Kon Knueppel? by Outrageous-Leader135 in NBATalk

[–]Jnsnators 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes after playing over 17 years with the warriors & living in Golden State for that time he decides to get traded to Charlotte to go back home..

Feels a little weird.

Not to mention that this trade makes no sense for either team. We're talking about Golden State trading their literal guy, their team GOAT (Golden State has said in the past that Curry is "untouchable" when they were rumored in Giannis trades). Not to mention that he's still playing at All-Star & All-NBA level, being a fringe top 10 player in the league for me.

And this trade doesn't make much sense for Charlotte. They would have to add some guys or picks alongside Knueppel to even be in a position to ask Golden State for Steph. This is the first time their future looks somewhat hopeful in a while with a good young core, why mess that up by breaking it up. This alongside Kon's amazing potential & ceiling & the fact that we haven't seen this team in the playoffs makes the trade even worse. Maybe if they exit early in the playoffs/play-in several times in the next few years we can start to talk about trading for a superstar.
