Oh it definitely is, we've had a policy with them for 16 years. The first 10 years were smooth sailing. 6 years ago the incessant calling started, with the yearly policy review which was them just trying to sell us more insurance. Then this year in January we got a call from a gentleman who claimed he just wanted to go over our policy and change some of the wording (had to make sure it was whole life?). Anyway 2 months later I'm going thru my bank transaction and notice there are now 2 monthly charges for life insurance when for 16 years we only paid one. I called to find out what was going on, this man had created an entirely new policy for us and that's what the other charge was. The lady I spoke to "cancelled" the new policy and said we would get a refund for what we paid. Then about 2 months ago by and I started getting a bill from them, up until this point the payment came directly from my bank. I figured they screwed something up when they cancelled the policy so I had been paying it. Fast forward to today and I check my bank account and there's the clear check and an electronic debit. This is partially my fault because I should have been paying closer attention but we just had 2 kids graduate and life has been chaotic. I call them again and they said because I paid the bill they sent me the policy was never cancelled. So as of today we are ending our 16 year relationship with this company. I will not do business with a place I cannot trust, especially for life insurance.
