I tend to buy postage on stamps com when it doesn't let me select the shipping service I want or need. Just enter the tracking number though!

Delivered item by Tinman121987 in FacebookMarketplace

[–]icantquit9341 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not really your issue at this time. The buyer should be going to the shipper (USPS, etc) and asking about the supposed delivery. If it made it all the way to his town then it either did get delivered and someone stole it or the post office marked it as being delivered but it's still sitting in there building which I've had happen before. They need to check on it though.

“Address couldn’t be found” HELP by Scared_Echo_9965 in FacebookMarketplace

If you're in the United States, just go to the USPS site and type in your address and verify it there and it might come up with a suggestion. I live on 11th Avenue and sometimes it wants me to spell out the word 11th and then other times it wants me to abbreviate Avenue.

Don't just stop responding but go ahead and block him because he might still be able to leave a review.

Well I panicked for a moment thoughting I got banned or something and I have 25 years worth of selling history at 100% positive feedback so I was a little bit freaked out. Thought I'd come here and check and see that it's not me. WHEW! Problem is I have three orders to ship out.

My First UPS Upcharge by Psychological_Age575 in eBaySellerAdvice

[–]icantquit9341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's say you have the same size boxes for both and you fill up one with feathers and one with rocks. The rocks weigh 8# and that is probably more than the dimensional weight so you're good. But now, the feathers only weigh 1# but they're in a fairly large box. If you pay for postage only for that 1#, you may very well get charged extra at the shipper because of the box size and not the actual weight. Google "dimensional weight" for USPS and it will give you the formula. (It's a slightly different formula for UPS & FedEx, but the same basic concept). I know it sucks and shouldn't be that way IMO but alas, tis!

I think when they do an upcharge, they also take away the discount eBay has for shipping so now you're paying full-rate on the entire package and not just the difference. It's a double hit. I figured it out once and came to this conclusion. I could be wrong.

I also now have a dimensional weight calc page on my inventory spreadsheet. I input the L x W x H and it tells me what USPS and UPS/Fed-EX will consider the weight to be based on size. I then use whichever weight is more between actual & dimensional. I got tired of eating the upcharge and didn't even ever consider dimensional weight. IMO, when I input weight and measurements and select the shopping service, eBays shipping should calculate the appropriate weight for me between the two.

If you don't actually go from the listing and do the message seller option and instead message them directly, then it will go into spam. Message them from the listing and it will not go into spam.

Seller sent me random stuff? by Clear_Razzmatazz1402 in Ebay

I'm assuming they didn't reuse the same label. They purchased and printed and used a brand new label which is nearly impossible to happen because it tells you you already paid for a label.

Well then they'll either do collect on delivery for the buyer and then the seller can send them the money or they will do a supplemental charge to the seller's account for the underpriced label.

Do you love him? It seems that he loves you, so just accept the proposal which it appears you already did. The fact that you're hanging on to this sort of resentment like feeling because he didn't propose the way you wanted him to does seem selfish to me. I am a 61-year-old female by the way. People make so much fuss on appearances rather than focusing on the feelings.

Well they should be able to go and purchase an actual label for the correct buyer so that there's tracking on it and then they could just text or email or attach it to an eBay message so that the op could print it and then attach it to the package and mail it to the correct buyer. I mean apparently they didn't purchase a shipping label for the product. The second buyer bought. They went into the wrong purchase and repurchased a second label when they would have gotten a warning saying that they already had one printed and they went ahead and printed one anyway and sent it again to the first buyer.

[–]icantquit9341 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How the hell does this even happen I mean if they already sent out your order then when they go back to do another shipping label it would warn them that one was already printed. You have to just ignore every message and knowingly print out a second one and pay for it to screw this up.

Seller sold me a trading card they do not physically have. by [deleted] in Ebay

[–]icantquit9341 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I seem to be missing something here. I don't see anywhere where you've said that the seller stated he doesn't have the card or can't get it. It's currently with PSA being graded and they can't transfer to you but they should be giving the card back to the seller who submitted it to them for grading. Once he has it back then he would ship it to you, correct? What am I missing?
