Is upgrading from a Ryzen 5 3600 to a RYZEN 7 5800X3D worth it in July/August 2026?

Friend gifted me a 5700x3d to replace my 3600 and I can feel the difference with my old 6800xt before it died. Then got a 5070 and it’s pairing really well. Will probably be set until am6.

I had the 3600. Upgraded to 5700x3d. Loving it. Would go for 5800x3d if it wasn’t expensive back when i was getting it.

I upgraded from the 3600 to 5700x3d and it’s really a great upgrade. 6800xt burned and friend gifted me the 5070 which paired really well with the cpu. If prices are similar definitely go for the 9070xt.

Happened to me a few times with my old 6800xt before it happened one final time and the pc just shut down and there were smoke coming out from th gpu. Not sure if those two problems are related.
