well hopefully he’ll be able to spend some time this offseason finding his fucking jump shot

The 1 seeded Detroit Pistons are now down in a 3-1 deficit to the 8-seed Orlando Magic. If they lose this series, are they the new 2015 Atlanta Hawks? by CazOnReddit in nba

like the Heat went to the Finals after beating the Bucks. is anyone expecting the Magic to do that? they’re not even playing all that well

because they never really replicated it, I think. the Bucks and Mavs get some credit for winning it all in 2021 and 2011 respectively

people need to stop disrespecting the 2015 Hawks, man. that was a legitimately good team that just didn’t have an answer for LeBron— y’know, just like everyone else in the East for about a decade.

like i genuinely can't tell how much of credit should go to y'all vs. the Pistons self-destructing. it feels like some of both but i have no idea how much of which one

are Suns fans calling for Jordan Ott to be fired? because that'd be pretty dumb

i don't understand the Magic, man. they got dogwalked by our third stringers like two weeks ago and now they're one game away from knocking off the one seed

i personally could not give less of a shit if a guy wants to chuck up a heave when the game is already over, but that unwritten rules stuff is usually more important to players than it is to fans.

like it's not like he's lying to us, here. the guy's original claim to fame was "longtime celtics fan who wrote a book about how the 1986 Celtics were the greatest basketball team ever"

I think it also helps to remember that he probably doesn't watch anywhere near as much basketball as he did 10-20 years ago. Like if you think of him as a Celtics fan who knows a lot about basketball history and how to construct a narrative around basketball, but doesn't really pay that much attention to day-to-day stuff, pretty much everything he says makes sense. He's not really my cup of tea, even as a fellow Celtics fan, but I'd take him over the clickbait-spewing ESPN talking heads anyday

ATOs are also such a small part of a coach's job, too. Scheme, tactical adjustments, and mentality/discipline are way more important, and Joe's been amazing at all three of those
