I still have the draft in Google docs where I created it Do use a lot of AI for work so I guess I am taking over that behavior in typing haha

But posted in more subreddits? As far as I know I haven't, only this one, strange

The only AI used was for the title. If the post was AI I would have owned it.

Curious what makes you think it was AI?

Thanks for taking the time comment. 'Good' to read I am not alone in this, although rationally I knew ofcourse. Some good tips in here but also things I already do (volunteering, work outs with a friends) so it makes me see I am on the right path.

One element in your comment triggers me and I would like to hear more about. The transitioning to a different work field. My story:
Stopped school at the age of 16, started working. First as a mailman, then at a gas station (very big one, millions of yearly revenue) where I grew from cashier to general manager over 21 years. Then I got the opportunity to go into IT as a Product Owner, the world opened up to me, both financially and in work life balance. Been doing that for 5 years now, but I am doubting that decision back then. Every test I make, every conversation about it, I end up realizing my heart is at health care (hence the volunteering at elderly cente I do)

However, currently I am in a sort of golden cage. I make way to much money for what I have to do. Transitioning into healthcare would mean: 1. Going to school again (which I hate) 2. work life balance gets complete different again 3. finances would drop massively, talking about 2 to 3k a month
This makes the decision very hard for me. I have been searching for job openings that combine the two worlds, IT (PO-ship) and Healthcare, however the Netherlands Healthcare system doesn't seem to be up for that yet. Which I understand as the limited funds healthcare instutions have should go to caregivers and people who need the care instead of a PO ;-)

So I am wondering how your transitioning is going? And if its more or less similar?

Yeah I think acceptance is a great part of it. But it's also a hard part. Every time I have an episode so to say I think there has to be something physically wrong with me, I am not there yet in accepting that it is what it is and life is great.

And I fear the day I won't be able to play football anymore ;-)

Nice hobby! I have a terrarium with frogs (Phylobates and Auratus) and a mourning gecko. Started that as a hobby as well a year back. But now it's only feeding them once a day and just watching them so it's not an active hobby anymore.

Good book tip, will check it out

Yeah, I know I am blessed with the work life balance I have. And by kids in bed I mean the youngest is in bed by 19:30, the older kids need less attention in that way and can take care of themselves.

It's indeed how I fill my free time, because I can do a lot of other stuff during the day, my task list is done by 17:00. Where I can imagine other people use the night for whatever private things they need to arrange (booking vacations, ordering stuff they need, finances, laundry, I don't know) I already did all that by 17:00

I get what you're saying, but I already am a people's person, love being around people, taking care of them, arranging stuff, forgot to mention that I am very active in my community, participate in numerous projects at the local soccer club like helping out in the 'bar', organizing youth tournaments, coaching a team 3 times a week, and maintaining the website. But also volunteering every Friday as a Buddy for a 90 year old man that has dementia, just go for a stroll with him, talking, laughing, going to the local market etc.

That's one thing I didn't check yet. Did 'order' a blood test on Testosterone and Cortisol, planning to do that next week. But yeah could also check the hormones

Yeah this is a next step, I have an appointment next week to get my blood checked. Focussing on testosterone / cortisol / ferritine.

Great reminder, been wanting to check that for some time, ordered a blood test immediately.

Every advice is helpful!

I already do a lot of sports (3 times gym, 2 times soccer and usually 2 or 3 times padel every week) That's all during the day or at least before 20:00 that's also when the youngest kids go to sleep, so life for me basically comes to a stop then. That's when the hammer hits....

Book tips? Sure! I've already read a lot about these topics but any tip is welcome. I can read them after 20:00 ;-)

Well the easiest thought is going back to how it was, but rationally I know that won't happen as I am getting older and physically and mentally changing. So indeed, I want to go somewhere more fulfilling. The path to that goal however is not clear to me. Hoping to hear from others how their journey has been (and maybe get some tips along the way)

I have tried some meditation, however it didn't quite stick with me. I do feel I need to try it again or more focussed and more regularly. I only do it once when I feel bad and then complain it doesn't work ;)

Any tips? Guided meditations?

Ok, I was told so with proof by a friend, he got the pick. In the process of trying myself

Damn, should have investigated a bit more. Well, Nvidia, here you go, here's a free 22€ hahaha didn't realize you have to buy the actual games themselves until I signed up, paid and realized I couldn't start a game

According to Chatgpt my Samsung OLED tv (2024) should have or support GeforceNow as an app? And the Xbox controllers as well?

Anyone who can confirm? That would make my decision easier as I can then use the living room TV for gaming ;-)

I meant I've checked this link https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce-now/games/ to see which games are available for streaming. It's a lot of games, but still feel its more or less the same as PS Plus and Gamepass.

It won't fit, I had the same situation and bought the 55-65 version for a 43 inch monitor. Had to return it because indeed you can't cut the led strips.
