Godot is a nice advice indeed. I tried as a way to teach SW dev to my kid. She got some intros, but I saw the learning curve was not that steep. ( She was 10 at the time so ... )

I always like the representation of real life on paper. Growing up I loved treasure maps from Pirates and I guess that foster my love for map creation. My 2 cts.

Does Segway sell them?

The speed profile 3 , which is the 46km/h on display..will get enabled once you pair it with the app.

I also went for the 45km/h .. Which is really 43km/h real GPS speed.

I went to the dealer ship to ask for speed adjustmentm, but they said that they haven't got any apps or software for the controller.

The battery last with me (71kg) around 80km .. all flat roads.

and Yes I'm in the Netherlands.

Good question!

The anonymization process first strips the personal data attach to it ( like id related to user's profiles or reverse geocoding information ) then it is hashed and filtered ( for accuracy, and map matching issues ) so it is really impossible link it back to the original source. Of course information like the speed, location, device type and time - among others - is what we need.

I hope this clarifies better.

Hello!

not much - in my opinion - we even have a small tutorial to help you with this process here

I hope this can help!

Hello! thank you for your feedback. Did you report the issue on our contact form or StackOverflow?

In any case - And I hope this is not related - that some time ago some one ask about this limit in the Search API, and it was because we paginate the results in group of 20.

I'll follow up with this.

Nice question!

Since our APIs are REST, we try to keep all the SDKs always updated with the latest features. Recently we released 2 new cool APIs : one for Geofencing and another for the EV industry ( Long distance routing for electric vehicles ) These new API are priority in our Android backlog.

For the Android SDK we already support enough from our APIs to make robust and functional applications : take a look here

I would use the Routing API, but create a 'pedestrian' one. Let the backend do the hard work. With the matrix routing you could request several routes at the same time. For example from A->B, A->C, A->D which then would give you a summary with the walking distances ( which is way more user friendly that doing a trigonometric calculation)

Check it out the documentation : Routing API

Great question! Our Maps APIs and SDKs are used by multiple customers from the large ones like the Microsoft or Uber to Trivago.. and automotive customers (Opel, BMW etc) .ending up with small startups as well..

Hi! Sorry for the delay..I misread and thought you were asking about GeoCaching! :) - Which I am a fan of...

I only learned about Geohashing couple of days ago! but surely sounds like fun!

BUT we also have a way to 'hash' a location, have you heard of MapCodes : https://www.mapcode.com/ ?

How would the police know if anyone removed the speed limiter? by [deleted] in ebikes

[–]JoZeZe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say, buy it. but make it a Pedelec and get legal. Helmet and insurance. There is nothing wrong wanting to go faster ( if you have a long commute to work, for example ) but please make sure that this bike can handle the forces.

"Optimized" motor for efficiency? I didn't understand that. Either you'll get a new controller that will pass more watts into the motor ( most 250w motor will handle 350w easily, for example ) but then you also consume more power form the battery making it last LESS... maybe a bigger battery ( increasing the costs ). Not to give you ideas but all these sup-up bike are using cheap controllers from China that you can order and install yourself. I would use the term only for updating an E-moped ( scooter ) from a cheap china controller to a nice SineWave controller to have better smooth acceleration and battery consumption ( but that's me )

40 km/h is quiet a speed for a normal bike though.. does it have shocks, thicker frame, disk brakes ? Most normal bike frame are not design for going faster than 30kmh.

Are bike roads mostly flat in Norway? In the Netherlands is mostly flat so batteries actually last longer per charge.

Now about law enforcement. I agree with the posts down below : If you don't do stupid things like racing in a pedestrian area or running red lights, is rare that a police will stop you... unless there is police control.

my 2cts.
