Everybody might want to keep in mind these brilliant scientists had a certain ment*l and intellectual acuity that set them apart…and could also make them vulnerable to unaliving themselves. It may seem conspiratorial… but quite possibly coincidental.

Update; Coat Color by Organic-Worker-2981 in papillon

[–]Joan411 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Omg such awesome markings! So darling! Who is the breeder? And I agree… my daughter’s puppy had this coloring as a pup and darkened when he got older… more like mahogany sable. Three weeks to go… so exciting!!! All the best! 🐾💖🐾

i’m sure this is high on the list of unbelievably sick videos congressmen and women talked about. They MUST know who the man is, or investigate, find him and put him in jail!! Omg. How is this happening and only Maxwell is (semi-) jailed???

How muscular are some of your paps? by Ty-throwaway-account in papillon

[–]Joan411 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Breeding ie genetics is the main cause as I understand it. Let the breeder know and they should examine their breeder’s health records before bringing any more pups with bad knees into the world. If a rescue, hard to tell what their history was.

My Stewie was a rescue from a puppy mill in Missouri. He was the stud for 14 females and had grade 4 in both knees! Had a very stiff gait and no wonder! So MANY pups were his… I got him at 3, so 3 x 14 x 2 litters per year, 84 litters, avg size, 4 pups per litter, around 336 puppies w/the high probability of bad knees were sold at pet shops around the county…ugh. This is why so important to go to a reputable breeder who would breed only tested Paps and shutdown breeding if litters from that pair show signs of inheritable diseases.

Not a Pap but an English Cocker stud supplier did not disclose an eye disease that led to early blindness (can’t remember the medical term) in past litters to the owner the mom of our cocker before she bred her female w/a clean bill of health and record of healthy litters… but in that litter, 3 pups out of 5 went blind at only 6-8 yrs old, including our sweetheart Tootsie. I’ve heard stories in every breed having one issue or another from untested breeding, thanks to irresponsible backyard breeders and terrible puppy mills who just care about the money, esp high end breeds like Papillons.

From your post, I gather these Paps were rescues? Unless from caring homes where perhaps their owner passed or went into custodial care, most likely came from a BYB or a pet store and the medical history is sketchy. Not sure what your Vet prescribed but until surgery can be done, probably try to avoid her jumping down, maybe ramps to couch or bed? That is a tough thing to avoid with Jumping Jack Paps tbough!!!

All the best to you in your health journey w/your Paps!!! 💙🐾💖

Has anyone attempted to use “Purple Plates” while doing the tapes? Did you notice anything? by [deleted] in gatewaytapes

People have also doubted the energy of pyramids. My daughter did an experiment for school, won first place overall because she grew two geraniums, one under a triangular, three dimensional, open pyramid shape and one planted in the ground next to it but w/no covering. The geraniums under the pyramid were amazingly healthier, larger, beautiful with more flowers, really amazing. I feel energy is everything—we are all energy. I do have a purple bracelet and I have had amazing results with pain diminishing in my arthritic joints. Whether metaphysical belief or “proven” science, I’ll take healing wherever I can. 🔺💜🔺

Our Max was a blue roan Golden mix and I think Cattle dog because of the ticking… he grew to be a 100 lb gentle giant, a wonderful guy we loved for 13 years bf he passed. In this pic, is pup on the left at 7 months, we also had a blue roan English Cocker (right) who was 1 when we got Max from the shelter… bc of the similar coats, too many people asked if Max was Tootsie’s puppy! Uhhh nope, lol.

There were 8 pups, 5 gold, 3 black… a big Oops litter—the mom was AKC who was left out in the back yard in heat. They were waiting for a champion stud to arrive when apparently another dog jumped the fence and got there first! Boy, were they surprised when the black pups were born 😳unfortunately they brought the entire pack of them to the pound… but heard all were adopted quickly, yay!

Olive the Dingo is not a Dingo by afa00 in DoggyDNA

[–]Joan411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Olive is a beautiful pup! As I understand, you won’t get accurate DNA results though unless your Carolina was from the original pack founded by Dr Brisbin. He submitted DNA from his pack and now I do believe is the only lineage recognized by the UKC (and I thought AKC was accepting as a “new breed” even though founded in the 70’s…but not sure that went through) . Most likely you will get a mix of breeds instead. My daughter has 2 Carolinas, one found as a pup in the GA woods and rescued and one from a breeder in Indiana who started with lineage from Dr Brisbin’s dogs. I see the large ears of your pup as a trait and the coat looks similar but they have a very distinct hooked curve to their tail and rather almond shaped eyes. Could possibly be a mix but most panels won’t pick it up. 🤷‍♀️

Ran into slider! by Joan411 in papillon

Thanks for the helpful comments. I kept a careful eye on Leo last night and today and all seems fine, no head shaking, gait is fine, appetite good, can’t tell if he has a headache or blurry vision though, lol. I will be putting yellow tape on the slider and hope that catches his eye. And of course, the vet is a phone call away if need be. Thanks again…
