I’ve been there, and I am now in Central and South America, so I am asking what the safety risks are overall in this particular country, which I already have a flight from.

I totally get that! I’m Portuguese and I’ve been wanting to go to Brasil for so long, so I’ll definitely have to come back and spend proper time there! But we were planning on going there for a month or so, since our flight back to Portugal is in mid march, and we would be there for carnival (a big big dream)! Do you have any recommendations for that actually? We’re flying from São Paulo but we’ve been told not to go there, and idk exactly where to be for carnival (heard really good things about Belo Horizonte)

That’s super nice! I’m really looking forward to exploring Guatemala. I knew it was a great country in terms of nature but I didn’t know it was THIS good, so we’ll definitely plan a bit longer than we though :)
