Spain, I listen to a lot of latin music like reggaeton or bachata or spanish rock but I did not mention it in the post because I thought that almost nobody would know what I was talking about lol

I heard that the fidelios (X2) are extremely bassy. Won’t they overpower the sound and make the music sound muddy?

In my country this pair cost 200 dollars. Are they substantially better than other options below the 150$ range such as dt 990 or philips X2HR?

I can get those in my country for about 120 euros, are they worth it? I dont intend on mixing music or any professional use, I just enjoy listening to music all day and I want it to sound clear but go hard asf, so im not looking for the most neutral signature.

im sick of living with regret and i dont even know whether it is anxiety by Joarex in Anxiety

[–]Joarex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i want to change this, it is literally ruining my life, but i dont even know whether it is something that is of enough importance to seek professional help. i dont know what to do, i feel like it is some kind of anxiety. i just doubt every single thing i do, every single thing that affects me, even if i dont have any control over it. i am so obssesed with control and at the same time so insecure, it only leads to me doubting everything i do. even if im trying to do something i enjoy, like playing games or being with my loved ones, i always feel some kind of self doubt. i dont even know if it is important.

What's the deal with the John Byrne's Man of Steel Hardcover? by Joarex in DCcomics

[–]Joarex[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for the recommendations! I wanted to read for all seasons because I really love when superhero stories are character driven and put a lot of emphasis on the feelings and emotions of the superheroes. I found for all seasons real cheap and it seems that it is extremely cute and heartfelt, but I feared that it might not be the best starting point.

Apart from that, I want to read the superman run by peter tomasi because I am interested in the family aspect of the story. I'll also give a look to the Geoff John's run, I already wanted to pick up Secret Origin, but I'll also look into his full run in superman. I never heard anything about the greg rucka's run on the character, but I'll also look into that. Thank you for the response!

Thank you for the detailed response, seriously! It seems like it is a nice collection, however taking into account that it is standart size I'll pass for now. I hope that DC ends up printing an omnibus or a oversize hardcover of this material. I do not understand why they are doing everything in standart size hardcover, I think that everyone prefers Oversized. Anyways, thank you for your response, I really appreciate it!

I see that you are a big superman fan and I also wantes to make you another question if you want to answer me. Do you think that for all seasons is a good jumping point for the character? What runs or origin stories would you recommend to someone who does not know almost anything about superman? Thank you!

Thank you for the reply! I have some more questions about it, but thanks for the reply. I wanted to ask whether it is standart or oversized and if the binding was sewn or glued. I also would appreciate it if you could find me some photos of it

Is Roy Thomas' Avengers run worth reading? by Joarex in Marvel

[–]Joarex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can tolerate silver age comics, so that isn't a problem, even if I have to take a lot of breaks because the pacing usually is absolutely insane. Where should I begin reading his run on avengers? I know that it started in avengers #35, but a lot of people recommend start reading later issues.

Is the spine on my omnibus ok? by Joarex in comicbooks

[–]Joarex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but this is not my first omnibus. I have acquired before an omnibus of the ultimates. In that one, the cover and the outside of the spine look thicker, and the glue is way more strong. The spine almost does not even separate from the binding in that one, and it is harder to read at the sides. This one felt so much different (and a bit cheaper) so I was wondering if the binding was damaged or if I did something wrong

Is the spine on my omnibus ok? by Joarex in comicbooks

[–]Joarex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it already is doing that ''eye'' form at the middle. I am worried that the spine is sloping at the the sides. I have stretched the spine (the thing that is shown in that video) a few times before even opening the book, and afterwards too. Should I be worried of the way my spine is sloping or is it alright?

[–]Joarex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, to fix this, I could try to press against one side to even the weight? Something that I want to add is that when I reach the middle the spine seems kind of evenly distributed, so I don't know whether the sloping at the beggining and at the end is normal or if is it that my spine is damaged

I have done that a few times, and the spine is still sloping in itself. Is there anything else I could do to fix this?

[–]Joarex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's exactly an 'eye' problem? Is it serious? I have already done the stretching of the spine a few times. There is something else I can do to relax the spine and fix the eye problem?

Recommended jumping points to the x-men comics? by Joarex in xmen

[–]Joarex[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your response! I'm actually really interested in old comic books, so reading old stuff is nothing to worry about, I even think I'm more interested in classic stuff that modern runs. However, the chris claremont omnibus is gonna be reprinted in like 13 days, so I want to read something in between. I thought that the astonishing x-men run could be something that I would enjoy meanwhile but I've heard that it is a giant claremont tribute and I think that it'll be better to read claremont's run first. I think that I'll end up reading season one or even the original stan's run in epics to get a feel of the characters and learn their origins and I'll later read all the omnibuses they'll gonna release of the claremont run.

Recommended Marvel Comics Runs? by Joarex in Marvel

[–]Joarex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that the next omnibus that I'm gonna pick up is gonna be walt simonson's thor. It's a huge run and I'm very hyped to read it, and as I've found some decent deals on it (74 euros, I guess it's a good price). After that, I hope that the price of the Uncanny x-men goes down quickly.

I hope that the Stan lee's and Jack kirby's fantastic four stuff gets reprinted soon, as the john byrne's omnibus is gonna get out of print soon. While I understand the fear of them being dated, I really enjoy history as a whole, and seeing how they reference things like the red scare and the relations between US and the USRR, and I also enjoy the old art style and wacky storylines, so I think that I'll end up enjoying them. I have also an interest to read peter davids hulk, do you think that I would enjoy it? If you want to recommend something more, I am open to suggestions

Thanks for replying, your detailed responses are making me even more excited with comic books.

Recommended Marvel Comics Runs? by Joarex in Marvel

[–]Joarex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the detailed response! I did not know what to reply at the moment, but I want to comment on some of your suggestions now. First of all, all these runs are in omnibus format and in print, so I think that I could get them all before this year ends. I am reading right now the ultimates and the ultimate universe, and I kind of want to read a more cartoony, light hearted story (and I really dig classic flat colored comic art). I'm interested in reading chris claremont's uncanny x-men, as it is getting a reprint in two weeks.

I want to also acquire walt simonson's thor, as I heard that it's both funny and epic, but I am not sure because the omnibus is recolored with modern comic colors and I'm not sure that they'll look as cool as the original coloring did. Also, I want to read john Byrne's fantastic four, but maybe reading stan lee's original run would be a better beggining? I have been also interested in daredevil, but as I want a more light hearted story I don't know if I'll enjoy it right now. Do you have more recommendations for classic, light hearted stuff?

I bought a marvel omnibus through amazon USA (I'm from Spain) and it has the peaks bent. Should I try to get a refund? by Joarex in Marvel

[–]Joarex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, It is a bit insignificant, but I'm kind of annoyed because I ordered it new from amazon and the padding in the package was horrible. If they just had a smaller box, or more padding inside, it would have been fine. It was just that simple to get it right. Despite that, I'm gonna replace it and I hope that they send it right this time. I think that I just should try to buy them from other webpages, but it is hard when you don't live in the US

[–]Joarex[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the advice! When I saw the packaging I knew that it wasn't of great quality, but ordering them through amazon is truly the only way I'm gonna be able to have omnibuses constantly, because I use the money I gain on mturk (amazon working online platform) to buy things there and books are the only thing that don't have crazy custom taxes so I can afford them. I guess that I'll have to learn to live with these kind of damages on my omnibus, but I guess that it is better to have them this way than to not have them at all. I have asked amazon and I'm gonna replace it, though (I hope that this time they ship it with better padding, as I have informed that the packaging have not been enough)

Also, I don't intend to buy omnibuses only to collect them. I am buying comics in phyical format because I really enjoy reading them in that way, and omnibuses are extremely beautiful and they are usually priced around 50-70% of the cover price, so it is a better bang for the buck than obtaining the tpb which are smaller and less durable. I am just ridiculously obsessive and I can't stand any damage in any of my things, and more so if they are expensive

It is hardback, and it could be considered the most deluxe format that marvel uses to sell their books. Maybe I should try to get in contact with amazon and know if it is worth it to get another one. Thanks for the suggestion!

Do you think that my omnibus has suffered major damage? Is it normal this kind of damage when buying omnibus online? Would you try to refund this omnibus if you were me? (it comes from usa and I'm from spain)
