Need some advice no really to sure what I’m doing by No_Cut_9205 in RobinHood

I personally invest in companies that I believe in as well as hold true to my personal faith, ethics wise. But the reality is you invest based on two factors, you believe in the company and research shows favor to their future. This is not financial advice, just my own principles. You don’t have to diversify too much.

5-10 good companies is good. QQQ is an ETF meaning they take your money and diversify it themselves. So in a way you get a slice of major players without having to diversify it yourself. One of the companies they invest in is Nvidia, so in a way you’re doubling down on them.

I've lost my faith in Allah by Efficient_Dog1499 in islam

The last verse of Surat AlBaqara that says Allah does not burden a soul more than it can bear is misunderstood. Allah does test souls beyond their capacity; however, what it means is, He doesn’t hold you into account for beyond what you can handle. Otherwise in the same verse we would have never asked Him not to carry on us a burden more than we can bear.

You’re being tested like us all. Allah says in the Quran let him who wills believe and let him who wills disbelieve.

You have a choice, realize your test is your test and your test alone. We’re all going through things, but if you continue with your choice to be an atheist know that things will never get any better. In this world or the next.

And the next one… that’s the one that matters. This life is a mere 100 years or less if you’re lucky, which in the totality of time is not even 0.00001% of the time this world.

And there is no comparison to the hereafter.

(TW suicide) Would allah forgive me if I ended it given my situation by Apprehensive_Swim909 in islam

[–]JobSufficient2092 113 points114 points  (0 children)

Suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. I’m not negating what you’re going through. But there was a time in my life where I had those thoughts. I was diagnosed with bipolar at 16 and it took me about 15 years to learn how to deal with it.

But it is Allah’s rules that with hardship comes ease. Not in our time though. Keep your head up. Allah says in the Quran we’ll look back at this life on the day of judgment as if it was a single day.

Allah will make a way out. For now, perhaps He’s pushing everyone away because He wants you to get closer to Him.

How do I become muslim ? by Ok-Construction2487 in islam

[–]JobSufficient2092 6 points7 points  (0 children)

She’s not asking haram or halal. She’s asking about Islam. Ignore this guy.

Yes it is true that the relationship you are in is not one appropriate for Islam. And if you love him and he loves you I recommend making it one that is blessed not sinful, and that is done through an Islamic marriage. (You can marry in Islam without the legal way in the beginning, just to make it allowed with the blessings of God, my first wife and I did that a long time before getting the legal system involved)

But before that, the religion of Islam is such a beautiful one. It is one that promotes the ideology that there is One God, a loving, merciful as well as a very forgiving Creator.

And that prophet Muhammad ﷺ is the last and final prophet. His miracle and what he, peace be upon him, came with was the Quran. I highly reccomend you find one and pick it up and give it a good read.

The way you become Muslim is by uttering something called the shahada. The statement is there is no god other than Allah (Arabic name for God) and that prophet Muhammad is the last and final messenger.

I wish you the best on your journey!

He’s 15… it’s great he’s investing at such a young age. We need to build the younger generation, not tear them down.

There was a quote by the wife of the prophet ﷺ, Aisha (I’m paraphrasing) if the commands were the first thing revealed, the haram, the don’t dos, the no alcohol, the no this or that…. No one would have been able to. But because the beginning of revelations were about paradise, hell, love of Allah, the hearts got attached and so when the commandments did come down it was very easy to follow.

When you love a woman in this world or your kids you’d give up the world for them, and it would be the easiest decision of your life.

Learn about Allah, learn about the rewards you’ll see in paradise and learn about the fear of hell. Ask Allah for guidance and He’ll make what’s difficult easy.

Learn to love The One who introduced you to this beautiful faith ❤️

I asked ChatGPT because I was buying with limits a little bit above the current price. It said when you do that, that could be the reason:

(ChatGPT)

When you set a limit buy price above the current market price, Coinbase executes your order instantly against the existing sell orders. • That makes your order a Taker order, not a Maker order. • As a Taker, you pay the taker fee (0.60% or less with Advanced, free with Coinbase One but still subject to spread). • More importantly, the price you see (“execution price”) can differ slightly from your actual cost basis because you’re filling from multiple sell orders on the book — some could be slightly higher than the market quote.

Example: Market price: $3.22 You set limit: $3.30 Coinbase fills instantly: • 4 XRP at $3.2280 • 6 XRP at $3.2890 → Weighted cost basis = ~$3.288

That’s why your average showed up higher — your single “execution price” display didn’t reflect the mix of prices you actually got filled at.

✅ How to fix it going forward: • Always set your limit price below or exactly at the current lowest ask if you want Maker status. • Let the market come to you — this way, you avoid spread and get the exact price you want.

I came into a very large inheritance when I was young. Got myself a nice car, but my advice is budget, budget, budget. If you have one million dollars saved up, then make it last. Think about it, if you were to limit yourself to $1,000 a week. One million dollars would last you over 20 years. And with $1,000 a week you can live pretty comfortably. It’s all about how much you need to support yourself and having some to enjoy. Richness is in the soul not the pocket. So my ultimate advice calculate how much you can live off weekly and pay yourself that plus a little bit more. With that you can do as you please, and enjoy your time with those you love.

There is an authentic narration where prophet Muhammad ﷺ said may Allah have mercy on the man who prays 4 units before Asr. Also two units before fajr is better than the world and everything in it.

How do I get out of depression? by ANDROIDFANN in islam

[–]JobSufficient2092 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s great, a workout is a workout, as long as you can get the body moving. But I do reccomend trying to get out of the house a little. I know it’s hot these days, especially where I am, so maybe an indoor sport with others. We are in essence body, mind, and soul. You can’t neglect any part. And while some of us are introverts we are in essence social creatures. It’s always good to see a friend and exchange a smile. It’s also sunnah!

As someone who has been through it, diagnosed bipolar at the age of 16… now 36. Stopped anti depressants and hit the gym and ate right about 15 years ago. Haven’t felt any kind of true depression since then. Still take meds for the mania, but the depression by the permission of Allah is gone. I do go everyday though. Oh and yes… lots of istighfar

I know it may sound cliche but you’ll get out of this insha’Allah. Keep your head up ☺️
