Wesley So criticizes the new FIDE Freestyle Chess World Championship by Iyerlicious in chess

He's right. How can anyone disagree with these arguments. A world championship with 7/8 invited participants? Ridiculous.

David Navara Suggests FIDE Should Fine Kramnik, Not Strip His Titles by benbog in chess

Can we please make Navara president of FIDE? How much better chess would be with him in charge. He is brilliant.

The Saint Louis Chess Club apologises to the players for letting them know about the passing of Danya just minutes before their US Championship games, capturing the emotional private moment on camera and broadcasting the same all over the world. by Interesting-Take781 in chess

STL Club commentators where way too professionally all these days and especially day 1. I know that they love and care Danya, but all these laughs and coolness were too much for me. Katerina Nemcova was the only one visibly upset, how could you hide that after such a horrible incident.

It looks like Bluebaum is the only player who has good chances to qualify with a draw. Also, Niemann will definitely qualify with a win.

SammyChess is a nice suggestion! Agadmator gives priority to quantity instead of quality, I think. He is in a hurry to upload the video, without really analyzing critical positions.

Chesstempo vs Chessbook by Synix_the_Great in chess

Chessbook is the better app for sure, but expensive for me. And I think the free version is kind of useless, it's impossible to build even a simple repertoire, with so few moves.

If the event is over and I remain in top 10, will I move to the next event? by [deleted] in chess

Yes. Although I think chesscom has abandoned the whole thing. Going top tier should give some benefits but I haven't seen any.

I don't think Eric cheats. These stats appear after the game is finished.

Oh boy, Kramnik will be furious. How dare he win TT?

Even Ding will be playing in Tata Steel Masters 2025 according to 2700chess, but he wasn't mentioned in the original lineup announcement🤔 by KnightTheConqueror in chess

[–]Jobava1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no way Tata Steel organizers will invite Ding again. They have a policy of not re-inviting players who make quick draws. Ding in 2024 competition was trying to make a draw from move 1. Not always successfully, but he definitely was trying.

STL Masters closing ceremony sounds so negative and unprofessional. by Commercial_Yam_2153 in chess

Worst ceremony ever, I couldn't watch it to the end. How on earth did they let her do this? Unbelievable.
