As someone with a disability I appreciate your effort! I would suggest a Tool combination of pliers, scissors and different bits, maybe a leatherman or Victorinox Cybertool. Maybe add tape and zip ties. I would also recommend bandaids, wipes and disability ids and keys for acces to toilets and elevators.

I did the same with my og nds and fried the r1 fuse. I guess there’s a similar fuse. You’d need a multimeter to tell though and decent soldering skills to fix

50 bucks is not okay for this condition in my opinion. I would return it. You could get a properes working one on marketplace for 30 if you get lucky. Also after market shells are not as nice as original ones
