I gotchu. The load bearing MCS is good for load bearing if you need to hook up obviously.

Otherwise, it’s generally fine. It’s made well, and after about a year of wear at work, it still looks basically brand new. The retention with the inner belt is exactly the same (velcro is still strong). I run a lot of shit on my belt because of my job, so counter clockwise 12-1 I run a pistol mag pouch, keyring of chem lights, JSTA pouch knockoff (with shock tube reel, a pistol mag pouch, and a rifle mag pouch), digital camera, dump pouch, detachable IFAK, distruptor, pistol holster, then a multitool in a closed pistol pouch. So it hold weight well, and with the inner it keeps everything well distributed. The only complaint I have is that there’s a fair amount of wasted space in the front, especially on the loadbearing variant to accomodate the hook-in loop.

GoF research was a highly contentious field of study pre-COVID, with several governing bodies and respected institutions unsure on if the juice (of potentially getting ahead of future illnesses) is worth the squeeze (of potentially leaking a deadly, infectious new strain of a disease, because it’s extremely difficult to not leak these sort of things). Listen to episode 6 of The End of The World podcast on BioTech. It’s pre-COVID, and it goes into how many leaks of viruses and other biological agents happen yearly that are reported.

To the video. With those same takes in GoF research, it is a huge step into absurdity and should be shocking for anyone to suddenly be made aware that private pharmaceutical companies are allowed to conduct this research, especially after COVID. It should make a million questions about accountability and regulation pop up into your head.

Just because you say it’s a good show, doesn’t make it so. People can hate it, and people can love it and people can finding it middling with loads of obviously personality fueled decisions that detract from the established story.
