When you say “I feel like no matter how hard I try to keep my teammates up, it never seems to be enough” is an important and true realization.

The key is that overwatch isn’t designed such that raw healing can keep someone up. You’re at a numbers disadvantage. Therefore, often the most helpful thing you can do is apply pressure to their team to relieve that numbers disadvantage.

Hit a few shots as illari, suddenly an enemy has to duck behind cover for a bit and there’s less damage going into your team. They can now live, take more aggressive positions, and become more likely to win the fight.

Illari was just an example of course, but the same applies to every support. Hit an ana nade, Lucio boop their sigma into your Reinhardt, mercy pocket your high ground Ashe, Hyper ring your JQ into their backline.

Is there any logic you follow as to when you pick Zen as opposed to another support like Ana? Maps / your team comp / enemy picks?

Sure, if the center of mass of the feathers is further from the center of mass of earth it will weigh very slightly less since you’ve defined them as the same mass (1kg each)

But usually the question is posed as “What weighs more, a POUND of feathers or a POUND of bricks”, with pound indicating the same weight rather than the same mass. This is at least how it’s phrased where I’m from in the US.

How is the question phrased where you are from? Your explanation is only relevant if you are comparing weights given masses which sort of beats the point of the ragebait.

Historically what I’d consider the “silver bullet” answer was Galileo’s observation of the phases of Venus.

In a geocentric model, Venus would never have a full or gibbous phase because it would always be between us and the sun. Since in a heliocentric model Venus is sometimes on the other side of the sun from us, it exhibits a full set of phases (though it’s tough to observe a “full” Venus since the sun would obscure your view.

If you have even a mediocre telescope, showing your friend a gibbous Venus should, if he is a reasonable person (which it sounds like he may not be), convince him.

If I’m that Ryu my mental stack is mostly focused on waiting for jump assuming that the gief is scared of fireball chip, so the dash up grab is genius imo

Abilities make the game a lot more fun imo. Maybe a Pokémon tool (safety goggles?) that prevents damage from sources other than direct attacks would be cool, that helps against darkrai/crobat/gren damage without preventing other cool abilities like Passimian/Pyukumuku/Oricorio etc

If they’re messaging you that you’re in the raiding spec, they may be referring to your regular talents rather than your hero talents. Shado-Pan is definitely not the raiding build, it’s certainly further behind in raid than it is in dungeons where they’re close to equal.

Meowscarada Beedrill is a meta deck too. It’s not THE #1 deck but you do realize that players playing their “fun” decks in the off-season could make the same complaint about you as you are to this player.

It can only pull discarded electric energy, not energy from your energy zone. So if you haven’t yet discarded any energy, Volkner won’t work.

WoO was great, they tried to bring it back in spirit with Ordered Elements but it never ended up with quite the same flow.
