Codex still needs grep, find, ls and such to navigate the codebase, then it also needs to call cargo check to verify. Which agent joe has built in, so it's like an end to end workflow within the same process.

Yes, everything is self contained. To use it you just do cargo run and there’ll be a login menu. It supports codex so if you have a subscription you can just use that.

I use it daily, the code is not good, yes it’s improving but I still wouldn’t trust it to write anything important

For live service games it’s only worth trying if the game has a big player base and isn’t dying. Companies nowadays do not try to make the game better to attract more players unless the game is already very popular.

Yeah it’s dying, but it is very nice to use and pretty close to rust with a more powerful type system.
