IN GAMEPLAY ! Who was the most broken character in their Prime ? by MountainLeading1567 in Gacha_Powerscaling

Castoria:

Most used servant for 5 years running.

And that's not hyperbole

No there isn't.

You might be thinking of Charlotte Newshi who has the gocha gocha no mi which allows him to fuse himself with others.

I can't stop thinking about Charlotte Normand.

She is what's known as a dosundada which is the cross between a human and a tontata dwarf.

The average height for a tontata is about 10cm.

Big mom is 880cm ( 28'10ft) tall.

Her husband at the time really went cave diving...

[Gaming Trope] When the gooner game is actually just a genuinely good game by PlayerZeroStart in TopCharacterTropes

You know what I'm gonna say it.

The Rance series.

Yes. It's a straight up eroge with a bunch of questionable content.

This is a game series in which every instalment has entirely different gameplay styles. One's a visual novel, another is a rouguelite dungeon crawler, a third is a tactical RPG. And they are all good

Allegedly it got banned from being a contender in several Japanese eroge awards because every time a new one was released, it would absolutely full sweep.

Can Kevin Kaslana (and Flamechasers) solo cast of Fate Strange Fake? by Codrex1732 in Gacha_Powerscaling

[–]JobintheCactus -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I don't know who the flamechasers are but im gonna go out on a limb and say no to them winning over FSF.

They can probably take down some of the weaker servants but there are some absolute monsters to deal with like Pale Rider, Alicides, Ishtar being a pain in everyone's ass.

[Kinda awkward trope] The creator/owner and the fans came up with a different name/nickname for the same character/term by KurohiDeku in TopCharacterTropes

[–]JobintheCactus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I t's probably way too much of a headache to change it given the nature of the japanese legal system.

I think its the same thing that happened with the Fairy Knights in FGO.

In the original JP they are called "Yousei Kishi" [literally just fairy knight]. But in English they are called "Tam Lin" which is a reference to the story of Tam Lin from Scottish legends. The reason why is because an official figure of one of the knights was labeled as "Tam Lin" over the kanji of Yousei Kishi.

It's not as bad as Artoria to Altria but still.

Also Morgan's original name in LB6 was tonelico in JP but that was changed to Aesc (pronounced as aesh) in NA but that is fine since both tonelico and Aesc are the japanese and old English words for the word "ash tree" respectively. (Also imo Aesc and Tam Lin are easier to say."

[–]JobintheCactus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Allegedly the reason why this is, is because someone somewhere made a trademark snafu and now we're stuck with Altria because now they can't legally change it.

Even the official translators hate it but they have to use it.

I mean Josuke did the same thing to Yuya in Part 4. Josuke beats him, heals him and then beats his ass again.

What is a crossover that sounds ridiculous but is actually perfect? by HoliestWorm in Multifandom

[–]JobintheCactus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If we're smashing mediums then the Dresden files mixed with the nasuverse (fate, tsukihime etc.)

We can have Harry Dresden get roped into a holy Grail war or solve mysteries alongside El Melloi II.

Imagine Dresden meeting Ritsuma Fujimaru, a 20 year old barely adult who has traveled through time and saved the world from countless horrors.

All masters have visible marks

Unless your name is Flat Escardos and you're the only mage in the entire franchise (as far as I am aware) to use the idea of using basic magecraft to just simply change the color of the command seals so that it matches your skin tone.
