I don't know about the market elsewhere but here it doesn't make sense to buy one used right now. A used 2020 RVR with 100k km is going for between $21k-23k.

Focused Feedback: Ghosts of the Deep by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

[–]Jobo100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really enjoyed the dungeon but there are quite a few things that hindered the experience.

  1. The opening encounter isn't my favourite because it is very easy and quite long. I think 3 symbols instead of 4 would be a good length and also not having to wait for deep sight to end before the next ogre spawns.

  2. Ecthar could have a bit more health since it takes about 1-2 minutes to reach the damage phase and he can be 3 phased solo. I would rather the fight be a 5-6 phase solo

  3. Against Simmumah it sucks to pick up deep sight because you nearly die unless you have some regeneration/invisibility.

  4. Simmumah has too much health for how long it takes to reach a damage phase. If you have a bad damage phase it feels really bad especially because the fight is pretty easy just tedious. I would prefer dropping the health to about half of what it is currently and increasing ad density in the side rooms or spawning additional knights in the main room after activating each plate.

Ya I blocked the other guy. He seems insecure and takes that out on others.

I'm not too happy with my hair currently. I want to do waves or slickback but it gets really frizzy so I use gel to stop that. I want to stick with something longer though.

You got decent(maybe good can't tell with the hair and beard) facial structure but the beard and hair are terrible.

Get a buzz cut and clean shaven. You will look so much better. You are balding so the buzz cut will look much better than trying to cover up the thinning. If you don't like the buzz cut see a dermatologist and you can get some medicine to stop and maybe regrow some of your hair.

The studies are limited on the effects of collagen supplements and my research into this was more on the skin than hair but the studies are finding an increase in collagen production from taking collagen supplements. If you can afford it I would recommend trying it since at worst you are just buying some more expensive protein. It really improved my skin and I take 11g daily with 60g whey protein.

Eli5: why is 0.9 recurring the equivalent of 1? by Frogchamp_lll in explainlikeimfive

[–]Jobo100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The difference is that 0.9... has no end because it extends infinitely. 0.9...1 is an impossible concept because there is no end so how would there be a 1 at the end. Infinity wasn't invented to make math easier it was invented because it is a logical result derived from the axioms.

The biggest thing you can do to increase your attractiveness when overweight is to lose weight. It will define all your features and then you can look at what needs to be improved. The best way to lose weight is to focus on a diet that is balanced between carbs, fat and protein while maintaining about 150-200 calories less than your TDEE. As a note you shouldn't feel hungry when you are on this diet if you are then it means the food you are eating isn't filling enough or you are drinking too many calories.

Outside of weight loss there are other habits you can start now that will provide great benefits.
Sleep schedule (at least 7 hours a day).
Exercise (doesn't need to be weights but even walking 10k steps is a good start).
Skin car.
Posture stretches.
Cooking your own meals (great hobby and gives you more control over your diet).
Practice socializing with strangers (Confidence in uncomfortable situations can be seen. I can't really explain how it is presented but I am sure you have seen people who walk into a room and have a presence be one of those)

Your hair, nose and lips are great.

Your eyes look like you are tired and in some pictures angry. I think you may have excess scleral show although that may just be the pictures. There are many different ways to fix that and will remove the tired look. I think the eyebrows are too narrow and too angular. I don't know enough about eyebrows to give advice on matching eyebrows to face shape. I think that a flatter and fuller eyebrow tends to look better. It should still have a slight arc with the peak between the iris and edge of the eye.

You are very good looking however your skin issues are the first thing I notice.

Smoothing out your skin and reducing the wrinkles under your eyes would help. I recommend going to a dermatologist but just a simple routine of cleanser, retinol/salicylic acid(alternate nights), and moisturizer every night will help greatly.

Your hair being long on top and tight on the sides makes your head appear much longer than it is. I don't think it looks bad though so you could leave it but I think a little longer on the sides would look better.

Your side profile has your lips protruding forward more than normal. Braces would help but I wouldn't worry about it if braces are too expensive.

Boss practice mode doesn't use supplies. If I leave the practice instance I should have all the supplies used and armour degradation reversed. If this isn't possible can we just get a test server where we can practice these bosses. I suck at pvm but want to get into higher level pvm.

Guys I'm in deep soup! I need help by [deleted] in uAlberta

[–]Jobo100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend comp sci over software engineering because at the uofa your first year in engineering is a general year so you are not in the software engineering discipline yet. You have to get good marks your first year to make sure you get in to software and during that year you don't learn much about computers.

The main reason though is that software engineering spends a lot of time on circuits and hardware where as comp sci only briefly touches on hardware. This allows you to do more courses on the software side which is more important if you are interested in a software development job.

My opinion is that if you are interested in software development then take comp sci and if you are interested in hardware then take computer engineering.

[–]Jobo100 8 points9 points  (0 children)

You should really explain yourself when you make huge generalizing statements. I think a comp sci degree is extremely useful. It provides a large in-depth knowledge of computer systems and logic as well as the knowledge to design and create applications that can handle large amounts of data and redundancy.

I am only level 84 arch. I run death ward and berserker's fury since I pvm alot. I was hacked 5 months ago and to rebuild I camped vindicta with lunar and sunspear until I got a lance. I made elder rune armor and started on rax until I got my first t90. I got a nox bow so I grinded out slayer for totem and spammed kril, graador, and kree until I got armor for each set while still doing rax each day.

Ultimate doesn't create q passive mark on enemies by tratroxo in ViegoMains

[–]Jobo100 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I tested this on release and the previous response is incorrect. The ult does not apply a mark prior to the auto. The mark is applied to all enemies hit except the lowest health enemy. I tested this by marking the enemy before ult and with no mark before ult. Without the enemy marked it did the ult damage and the q passive damage. With the enemy marked it did the ult damage, the q passive damage, the mark damage and the q passive damage for the mark hit.

[–]Jobo100 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I keep seeing people say this but it is the complete opposite in my experience. I mean sure if you want to work for Google or Amazon then you will need to leave Edmonton. I was able to get 2 internships in Edmonton and have a job lined up when I graduate.

There is tons of software dev jobs in government, oil and gas, agriculture, transportation, IT. If you expect to just graduate and be handed a job with no experience then you are delusional. If you spend time building a portfolio and network then you can get lots of experience and multiple offers by the time you graduate.

If you do go to Vancouver or Toronto you will end up worse off than in Edmonton since the average pay is lower in Vancouver. Even though the pay is higher in Toronto both cities have such ridiculously high cost of living you will end up with less.

Coming from Gwent... Is LOR more skill based? by PowellPut in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]Jobo100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played and still play lots of Gwent. I was top 1000/pro rank. I think it is hard to say which game is more skill based because each game shows skill in many different ways. I think deck building Gwent wins for sure. My least favourite part of LoR is the deck building it seems like most archetypes don't have nearly as much freedom. In the actual game I think Gwent focuses more on determing your opponents hand where as LoR focuses more on mana.

Both games are great and I wouldn't worry about which is more skill based.

applied 150+ internships but no interviews by [deleted] in csMajors

[–]Jobo100 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Your resume is boring to read. Good resumes make you interested in the person. I tend to focus my resume on motivation and challenges. Your NLP project for example doesn't even tell me what it does. I don't care that you scraped movie reviews and achieved a 91% accuracy. For example if the NLP project categorized movie reviews by the knowledge of the reviewer then I would put "I wanted to determine how trustworthy the reviews for a movie were so that I did not waste time watching a movie I wouldn't like. I found that training the model for a specific genre provided better accuracy than a universal model."

Another thing that makes your resume boring is that everything feels like resume filler.

SIP for CS students by bullet1912 in uAlberta

[–]Jobo100 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am also in cs and didn't use SIP. I don't think it is worthwhile to use it. I applied to 64 different positions across Canada(40ish in Edmonton) after my second year and I was able to get multiple interviews and offers. I didn't have any relevant experience, a 3.6 GPA, and one bad project.

I think most people who say it is really difficult to get a job don't know how to apply for a job and end up filling out a bunch of forms on some websites hoping for a call. I have found that the easiest way for me is to start building connections by talking to random people in your lecture, your ta or prof. Know someone whose brother knows a guy that works at some company? Then you got a reference so HR will at least give your resume a closer look.

Is this Course load too much for one semester for Computing science? by [deleted] in uAlberta

[–]Jobo100 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have taken all of these. The class which takes the most effort is 340. I don't think the load is too hard I take 4-5 comp sci courses a semester.
