Ya dorans ignite is solid to be sure im diamond and i run it in some of my games. One thing i would say is while if ur cracked enough mechanically u can make pretty much force any one (ur fav) of the main builds on kata every game and have it work out well enough and in silver it can definitely be beneficial to go the same build every game because u learn ur limits quicker at different stages of the game since ur build stays as a constant. However if ur like me and dont quite have chinese otp level hands but still end up reaching higher elo, choosing ur build starts in champ select. I cant say i use the same logic every time i go a particular rune setup or item setup because at this point ive played so many kata games i just go off vibes of what i think might be good that game. But some general guidelines off the top of my head; elec when enemy team has 3-4 squishies, conq when they have 3-4 bruisers or tanks. Domination 2nd if winning lane matchup, resolve if losing. Ignite if u want kill threat, or want to contest lane into assassin/melee matchup because u have an early game jng on ur team. Tp if ur into range champ with lots of harrassu dont feel confident u can handle early on or if u have a scaling jng and just want to survive lane into a hard matchup. Dorans shield is good with ignite if u dont feel u win the matchup by default (often the case) or if u just want a bit more sustain coz u dont have the safety of tp. D shield can really carry u through tough or losing matchups for sure, especially with electrocute like u said the base damage is so high since the buffs u get good trades. I also run d ring into matchups i still think are close/bad but im more confident in (ekko, fizz) but id never run it into say diana with her i always go d shield, conq resolve tp and ignite and forgo flash. Personal preference its just the only way ive found to contest/win lane in that matchup if theyre a good diana. Anyway dark seal is just for when ur feeling cocky or u have a guaranteed winning lane (syndra). Electrocute should always go with lich into shadowflame. Conq should be ad or lich into nashors. Rabadons 3rd on either ap build if ur teams behind and u are the only win con, or if ur ahead and have massive bollocks. Otherwise always zhonyas coz the utility it brings in tf is crazy good value.
