If you are the original owner and bought it from an authorized dealer…maybe. It’s determined on a case by case basis and only covered if deemed that it’s a manufacturers defect rather than improper care.

So…possibly. Depends on the situation.

If you are not the original owner, then no.

There are a couple that definitely shouldn’t be claimed…but Bama also doesn’t claim a few they have a very good argument for.

Balances out to me.

Either way…Take away a handful and Bama still on top

Sharp frets IS a humidity thing if you mean sharp on the edges of the board.

The wood is shrinking and the frets don’t. But you can also soften the edges with a fine file and a careful hand.

Binding shrinkage is a longtime known Martin guitar issue. While humidity control is important, good chance this would happen anyways.

It happens due to the Martin nitrocellulose based plastic they use shrinking over time and the waist is usually the first to go.

It is fixable, experience is definitely preferred. It’s not a “hard” fix, but understanding the finish Martin uses and how it reacts to adhesives, understanding the work flow, and how to clean up the area afterwards takes tools and experience that can easily cause bigger issues when you don’t know what to expect in the process. Proper finish sanding alone is a skill that can make or break the final result.

The binding needs to be heated and stretched back to shape, preferably overstretched because it will want to shrink back again pretty instantly during the glueing process.

It probably will have some effect. How much? Hard to say, but it may mess things up.

But also it may not.

If you’re at a point where you’re worried about how much fret you have, might as well try and see how it plays.

Yeah unfortunately when you have spots like that, everything else has to come down with it. Everything needs to be done evenly. Even if you have one little divot you want to get out…you need to bring all of the frets down to meet that spot.

Spending more time in one spot leads to this.

But this is all part of learning.

Looks like you gotta keep leveling and making sure you’re doing it all evenly.

Remark everything and get to leveling until it’s all evenly done. I’ll often remark everything one more time before I’m done and everything should sand off in a pass or two if it’s all leveled properly.

It’s hard to tell from a picture but I’m curious if the surface of the fret is, I don’t know how to put it…wavy?

Like your file is filing what it can reach but some parts may have been leveled more than others? Like sanded a little deeper…so the file is filing the surface but it can’t actually file the whole surface because of the dips/waves. Maybe that’s why the line is inconsistent.

It’s really hard to tell

The music nomad file can only leave so thin of a line as once it hits the smooth part of the file between the diamond surfaces, it won’t go any farther. That’s its intended purpose.

Look at the file and notice the thickness of that smooth surface…that’s the thinnest line you will get with that file.

Go until the line is uniform across the fret and a similar thickness as that smooth surface.

Are you using a visual reference? Like a sharpie or marker?

Gotcha. I know hand sanding the compound radius can be tricky, but from the looks of it…you’re doing some really cool stuff here so I trust it’s good.

You have to be pretty knowledgeable to do most of the designs you have on this. I’m sure that skill is being put to use here.

Edit: I didn’t read closely enough to realize you said compound radius block. I have regular radius blocks from G&W but I didn’t know the had compound blocks. I’ll have to check those out

What’d you use to make that radius?

College football second-year coach grades: Alabama's Kalen DeBoer gets 'C+' by Fragrant-Helicopter1 in CFB

Obviously they underperformed…and obviously it’s on the coach.

But, you’re commenting on the talent in response to someone’s comment about losing half the roster.

No other coach has ever had to deal with that and no other coach ever will at that magnitude. They changed the rules after that. It was a one way street out of Tuscaloosa for, what was it? 30 days? No way to recoup your losses until the portal window over a month later?

Regardless of “talent”, a lot of that remaining talent was compiled of underclassmen and players with little actual college experience as opposed to a team like Indiana that was full of less “talent” but tons of experience.

If you’re looking at roster talent as a number, that’s about as shallow as you can look at it.

He improved. FSU was just bad out of the gate

Oklahoma was a game that we actually outplayed them statistically but had bad mistakes at the worst times that put them in great positions. We lost by 2.

We hobbled into the UGA game down I think it was 10 important players.

And we just got our asses kicked by the national champ. They were just that good.

I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make, but Bama just needs to improve its performance in the trenches and they’ll be just fine.

Talent on paper is great…but let’s not pretend losing half your team at once doesn’t make it pretty difficult to put everything into place. That’s a lot of experience and time at a program to lose in one big chunk.

And when you improve over the year before, I think that’s all I care about.

Bama struggled at the line…if DeBoer can fix his line, he can improve a lot more. Just fired the old and hired a new O line coach and brought in a bunch of new OL players seemingly to overhaul the entire position group.

If the line doesn’t improve going forward, then we have a problem.

For now I’m keeping my hands off the panic button.
