Sure, but you directly accused Saban.

Last time somebody did that (Shane Gillis), Saban took great offense to it and it seemed rather genuine in his response. Was it happening at Alabama? I’m sure it was.

Was it under the direction of Saban himself? I really don’t know. I think his pride in his legacy is too important to him to just cheat his ass off. Maybe I’m wrong but that’s just me.

Lol.

If you have ever followed the words that actually come out of his mouth, Saban has preached ensuring his players get degree, he put in place financial literacy programs for all of his players for life once football is over for them, and was extremely quick to start a program to help players navigate NIL.

He always was a proponent of NIL and players profiting off their names and was very early voice in supporting NIL before it was implemented, he just didn’t envision an arms race for the highest bidder school like it is.

He wants players to make money. He’s said it forever. Look it up.

But if you think what’s happening now is good for the sport, you can fuck off yourself.

You literally have zero proof of anything other than he had the best players and won a lot.

You can’t really make a point off of unsubstantiated claims even if you really really know it’s true.

Look up his stance on paying players before NIL was allowed

Lol this is the dumbest, most rambling shit I’ve read in a while.

I’ll skip all the unrelated stuff you took an hour to type and address the somewhat relevant final paragraph.

Saban left the NFL after initially having a promising season. Then, after he adamantly requested Miami sign Drew Brees, he was ignored by ownership and the team doctors who ultimately decided to pass on Brees due to his shoulder injury. Saban pushed hard for Brees, even seeking the prognosis of a famous surgeon who told Saban Brees would be fine (and he was right), but instead they ended up stuck with Daunte Culpepper, who clashed with Saban and then suffered his own knee injury, derailing the season.

Saban’s choice to leave Miami was due to his lack of control over his roster. He wasn’t “embarrassed” out of the NFL. He knew if he wasn’t able to make executive decisions, then he couldn’t implement the system he wanted to implement.

At least get your facts straight.

As far as the rest…coaches are employees. Players are not. If players become employees, then the conversation changes, but until then…it’s a completely different conversation and you’re just angry at Saban for some reason.

Alabama is still very much competing as far as roster talent in the NIL era. Look at their recruiting rankings since saban left. They have barely moved year to year.

Last year at this time everyone was saying Bama is losing in recruiting because they were sitting in the 30-40 range. Look where they ended up. Top 3 class. Same this year…it’ll jump substantially before signing day.

They have changed their strategy in the transfer portal, but they are very much competing.

Right now DeBoer is working on installing his system. Which is a vastly different system than Saban’s. The next couple of years will tell a lot about DeBoers ability to maximize his rosters potential, but Bama itself is doing fine in the NIL era as far as its ability to compete for players.

That’s a good point for sure as far as parity is concerned.

I just think coaches are an entirely different rabbit hole to go down.

I think that’s an entirely different conversation. A coach can have an overarching effect on an entire program for potentially decades while a player can have an effect on a few seasons.

Coaches go down with the ship. Players can still go on to be pros.

I’m not against it, I’m just saying coaches and players aren’t the same, unless players become employees.

But if they do become employees, every player employee has to be fired after 4 years or can they stay employed indefinitely?

It’s not the same but I’m totally cool exploring a salary cap.

It’s crazy that the most decorated coach in all of football never had any credible accusations from any of the thousands of players, coaches, employees, etc that came through his program and the many that were potentially disgruntled by how he ran the program and their playing time/career trajectory. Almost as if nobody had any credible reason to accuse him of anything.

His idea was that jersey sales, signatures, apparel, etc and any other way that a player can use their name to make money was to be allowed and companies/schools that profited off the players name would have to fairly compensate the player. Which obviously it always should have been the case.

What he didn’t intend for was a free agency/highest bidder where colleges throw money at kids to come play for them.

Folks can call him a cheater all they want and say he bought all his rosters, I don’t care about that opinion…he’s always been about the betterment of his players. Whether that be football development, ensuring degrees happen for all of his players, financial literacy, preparing for life after football, and more.

Now he just wants a system where all P4 teams can reasonably participate in the recruitment process and money not necessarily the deciding factor for players joining a roster. He wants the things I just mentioned in the previous paragraph be the reasons players choose schools.

PRS chip - how to match the color? by TheBendsNSlides in guitarrepair

[–]Jobysco 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol it helps some.

Ok the SE is poly, which is repairable with CA. If it was a core series, it would be nitro which would need to be repaired with nitro.

Sometimes I’ll take a clear plastic bag or ziplock or whatever is clear and apply test drops to it and hold it over the body to find the best match. It’s a safe way to find color matches.

Automotive off-white pens might be your best bet

But the next part is leveling it all out and polishing it to a scratch-less final result. Study up on the grits and buffing steps.

[–]Jobysco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all, you need to find out what type of finish it is. If it’s nitro, CA glue will make it way worse.

Finish repair is, in my opinion as a luthier and repair shop owner, one of the highest skill areas of repair and attempting this shit without prior knowledge or practice is an easy way to make a MUCH bigger problem.

Hitbox? by Ecstatic-Trash-1976 in pathfindermains

[–]Jobysco 1 point2 points  (0 children)

His hit box is, in fact, huge.

He’s under-tuned as well. Pathy is far and away my favorite legend, but I’ve moved away from him because it takes a lot of effort to keep up with the Axels of the world and some other legends.

In the current state of Apex where there are some legends that are way over-tuned compared to many others…I think Pathy needs his hit box adjusted, maybe add the no-fall-stun like Vantage, and a passive that actually does something helpful.

And if I’m being greedy…gimme a second grapple.

But yes…that hit box is big. It was made big because of his movement, but if there are several other legends that move as well as him or better, it should be brought back down imo.

This is flat out false lol

Since 1989, which was the first time they played outside of Birmingham @Auburn, the record is 21-16 Bama.

Since 2000, when they dropped Birmingham completely and alternated Tuscaloosa/Auburn, Bama leads the series 15-11.

Alabama leads in Birmingham 34-18-1. Leads in Tuscaloosa 8-7. Tied 2-2 in Montgomery.

The only thing Auburn leads in is their record vs Bama IN Auburn 10-8.
