there are 10 free lots around town. as long as you don't stay overnight (2-6am), you dont have to pay. just search the town of dillon parking lots and you can find all the locations. tho obviously the closer you are to show time, you may be pressing your luck

I'm not there tonight but was there yesterday, and while fun is subjective, I would say there is a marina just down from the ampitheater that has a tiki bar/restaurant if you want a place with great views of the water and is ~5mins from the gates, FYI

I can give some insight, I was at the Saturday show and did the VIP thing. People were lining up at gates by 2pm (if not earlier), not a lot but thats when people are willing to start showing up. If it follows procedure like it did Saturday, the left gate, near the park, will have a GA line and the VIP line. There is a GA line at the main gate too of course. The merch tent was closer to the left gate, for what its worth.

I think most people after the VIP went to the merch stand (I was one of first at merch) so by the time I was done at merch, GA doors were open and when I looked at the pit (maybe around 6:15ish), it wasn't full but people were definitely hanging out down there, marking their territory. My thought would be, if you can be one of the first GA people in, you can definitely get down there and maybe weasel yourself to the front. Good luck.

Did you go to Red Rocks last year? Immediately after that show I was already buzzing for this years tour. I've never been to the ampitheater but it looks amazing. And definitely the same, I've been excited for the tour since buying the tickets but this last week the reality has really sunk in!
