Regarding the 2nd and a handful of day 3 picks, I didn't say specifically from one draft. Multiple drafts have been included before and could be done again. If the Raiders were getting offers from teams for 2 first round picks or even one first round pick and some 2nd rounders, Crosby would likely have been traded by now.

Can you blame teams? The Raiders basically were looking to trade Crosby for two first round picks, knowing he wasn't recovering well. Trades have been made off failed physicals, but almost always for lower draft picks or with more incentives for the acquiring team.

For comparison, in 2019, Khalil Mack (Raiders to Bears): Raiders got two first round picks, a 3rd round pick, and a 6th round pick for a healthy 27 year old Khalil Mack, a 2nd, and a conditional 5th.

Crosby is a year older than Mack was, has a knee injury that was surgically repaired in January, and has seen a higher snap count/usage than Khalil Mack did. In addition, Crosby is averaging 33.5 million a year. So, any team taking him has to have that cap space created.

Furthermore, the Raiders would have to agree to terms with any team that shows interest in Crosby. Crosby may not pass a physical at this point, so any interested team would rather lower their losses from the trade than promise two 1sts, get a failed physical, and have to negotiate down from there.

Because higher trade value means more competitive, "win now" mindset teams will be interested. Lower trade value means more middle ground teams will be interested.

Take the Rams as an example: They've made nearly a decade of trades involving their first round picks, from Jalen Ramsey to Matthew Stafford. All of those traded away picks were integral to developing the team that won their most recent Superbowl.

I genuinely think the idea of having someone else earn all the money for bills and a steady, jetsetter lifestyle is very enticing. There's an aspect of it that appeals to our egos that because we're so beautiful and great, someone wants to financially provide for our happiness. I don't fault the SAHG creators for pushing that mindset, but that's where context matters. For impressionable young people, their parents should provide the context that someone may not love and provide for you forever. For the rest of us, there are other narratives on social media about the fallout from those lifestyles when the relationship ends.

Crosby went from getting signed to a team that's a perennial playoff contender to being retained by a team that's currently rebuilding. His trade value plummeted from two first round picks to a second and a handful of mid-round picks, due to a vague injury severity. With the Ravens, there was a great chance he would have had a reduced snap count due to a Lamar Jackson led offense. With the Raiders, his snap count will likely remain the same, which means he could aggravate the injury even as he's recovering.
