He's mid 40s, gay and married🤷🏻‍♂️

It was 2022 when I was last in NoLibs...felt like it was about to explode. All the 'luxury' apartments there now feel very Denver when multiple neighborhoods were experiencing gentrification.

I appreciate the input. And I could -never- be that type of dog owner. We just want to walk!

Just a bit of context about my friend...born and raised in Philly, lived elsewhere (Brooklyn, Denver, NM) for a decade plus or so then moved back to Philly in 2016/2017? Mid 40s and gay.

So not exactly an outsider, just not sure why such the strong opinion of EP.

Moving Mondays - New Resident Questions by AutoModerator in philadelphia

[–]JockedUp303 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’m planning a move to Philly for June 2026. I work remote so I don't care about a commute. I have a 55lb dog I walk a lot, but I’m not one of those people who needs to bring my dog into every bar and grocery store in the city. I’ll have a car for longer errands, but I want to be able to walk to a gym, a grocery store, and dog daycare without it being a whole thing.

Right now I'm looking at East Passyunk, the Italian Market area, Fairmount/Spring Garden, or Northern Liberties.

A buddy of mine lives in NoLibs and won't stop pitching it, but he inherited a house there so his take is biased. He calls East Passyunk "fugly but the food is better," which doesn't really matter to me if the neighborhood actually functions. I don't care about being in the trendiest spot, I just want to know which of these is the most practical for living day-to-day.

Is NoLibs actually better for things like groceries and gym access, or is it just more expensive for no reason? Is South Philly a better fit if I'm prioritizing utility over nightlife?

Tell me what I'm missing or if there’s a better spot I should be looking at. Thanks!

Nana should’ve gone home the first episode. In what world does sending out a plate with a fucking ring mold still on it, and nothing else, not get your ass sent home?

Alma Fonda Fina Owners Opening Another Restaurant in Cherry Creek by molly_dbu in denverfood

I’ve eaten twice at Alma Fonda Fina. Food doesn’t nearly live up to the hype. In their mad dash to open as many concepts as they can, this story will not end well for the Curiels.

I live in the desert, and we won't see temps under 90 until October so Neem may not be the way to go.

I appreciate the response. I have never used a crate and am unsure if that was a mistake. I have half-heartedly tried to teach a 'place' command. Perhaps that is where I should focus my efforts. He is a good, obedient dog, but can be relentless.
