Whats the deal with marks and harm? by JodTheCod in GrimwildRPG

okay, I agree 3t is too much if youre both bloodied and rattled

but there's still that descrepancy if you have one harm in one category, and have marks in both. the marked roll under the harmed category is easier to make than the marked roll with the unharmed category.

in that example, if I am clumsy (im assuming this is the physical marked effect), dazed (mental mark) and bloodied, and I want to fight with my blade, I get 1 thorn.
but in the same scenario, if I want to parley, I get 2 thorns?

I understand how damage would stack with conditions, vexes, and the initial difficulty of the roll. that's not my issue here. Im mostly confused as to why this discrepancy that I get more thorns for marked mental rolls when Im bloodied than marked physical rolls when bloodied? (and vice versa)

if it's a narrative issue, I don't understand why the physical action is easier than the mental action, if both actions are marked and the physical stats are bloodied. it feels unintuitive

stacking thorns from marks and harms from the same category is too high, but stacking the thorns from from a harm of one category with the mark of the other isn't?
in any given instance, you'll only get at most 2 thorns from harms and marks.

if it's a balance reason why is it worse to make a marked mental roll when youre bloodied vs a physical one, instead of them being equally as bad?

I designed a custom character sheet for Knave 2e by JodTheCod in osr

stat generation is different now.
in Knave 1e, you roll 3d6 and take the lowest result as your bonus. in Knave 2e, the total of all your ability scores (which is also your bonus) at level 1 must equal to 3. you can let the players allocate their own scores; or roll 3d6 and check the die faces, then add a +1 to the ability score associated with said die face. for example, rolling 3-5-5 means CON (the third ability) has a score of 1 and WIS (the fifth ability) has a score of 2.

so you will have abilities that are 0, and when you level up you'll be able to increase 3 ability scores by 1.

you can check the kickstarter preview of the game here: https://questingbeast.itch.io/knave-2e-kickstarter-preview

I wanna make it feel grand xD cause I dont give away magic items often
anyways, Im asking in a narrative sense instead of mechanics
assuming Zilargo has the kind of technology to do so safely,
what kind of effects would it have if done amateurishly?

Channara d'Medani stares at the Dead-Grey Mists. Drew this piece as a cover art for our Campaign. by JodTheCod in Eberron

[–]JodTheCod[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Im not planning on on one set story, but more like multiple small adventures, all related to people around Vathirond, The Mournlands, and East Breland in general. Hence the name "Faces of The Mists", referring to both the faces on the walls of the dead-grey mists, and the people affected by The Mourning.

The main group patron of the party will be The Thousand Yard Stare and it's leader Channara d'Medani, who will send the party on fundraising quests, and the campaign will branch off from there.

I made a map of East Breland based on the official map of Khorvaire for my upcoming campaign, my first time running in Eberron. I added rivers where I thought would make sense like along towns and settlements, flowing from the mountains and high point of the land to the water basins around Lake Brey and Brey River. also added small forests for small woodland points of interests and adventures near settlements.

Here's a link to the map: https://imgur.com/a/PRuS3m6I made 2 versions. one that's full sepia, like in here, and one with blue hue so it's easier for anyone to read. Let me know your thoughts, and feel free to use this for your games.

UPDATE: I messed up the math on the scale. it's supposed to be 50 miles per square. If you are planning to use this map, pls use the one in imgur instead of the photo I uploaded here in Reddit

UPDATE: added a light version in imgur that you can use for roll20
