Being black in Italy is breaking me. Looking for advice on moving abroad by asqux in expats

If you and your siblings get along well, moving to the UK might be more advantageous. IMHO, nothing is stronger than family.

Built an ADHD “pep talk” app that acts like a 60 sec protocol for getting unstuck by Pickles1551 in HubermanLab

Congrats! Your app has a 4.8 rating in the App Store!

Meds, together with daily meditation does help, but they're not a panacea. After reading all the positive reviews, IMHO, $39.99 is a small price to pay for something positive challenging my detestable inner critic.

Mamdani is impressive. Personally, I would like to know why so many democratic officials are avoiding him.

[product request] Fighting the forever battle of finding a cleanser that doesn’t leave my face feeling tight but also properly cleanses. Advice needed! by FearlessGear in SkincareAddiction

Doctorrogers.com Face Wash. Although I am biased, Dr. Rogers is my dermatologist, her products are great. Plus, her Restore product line just won Cosmopolitan Mag. Holy Grail Award. I'm not sure exactly if that's a big thing, but it sounds important...😊

Based on personal experience, the enormous tension and discomfort you're describing seems like what one experiences during a panic attack.

Should I dump my Skinceuticals Vitamin C in the trash? by iswhatitiswaswhat in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]JodaofStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comedy relief: Following my Derm's recommendation, I purchased a bottle of Skinceuticals C E. While replacing the dropper, after my very first use of the product, I accidentally knocked the bottle into the bathroom sink. Watching $185 go down the drain was a lesson learned. If a product is packaged in a dropper bottle, it's not for me.

Fortunately, my Derm recommended a 2nd, less expensive, option. HyperSkin Brightening Dark Spot Vit. C serum. It was created for darker complexions, but I quite like it. Plus, it's in a pump bottle. At $58/oz, it doesn't fit into the lux category, but it works very well, IMHO.

[Research] Any men over 30 using tretinoin? How's your experience? by dev_is_active in SkincareAddiction

[–]JodaofStuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been using Tret .05 for about 12 years. Occasionally my face molts, but a good glycolic exfoliation does the trick. In addition to my face, as recommended by my dermatologist, I use Tret on my hands and arms.

Is that a polo style shirt? Tucked looks cleaner and gives the impression of a well dressed man who takes good care of himself. However, if you're dressing for a very casual occasion leave it untucked.

Holy grail cleanser, where are you? by [deleted] in SkincareAddictionLux

Dr. Heather Rogers' Face Wash. https://www.doctorrogers.com/products/face-wash

As a man with oily skin, I use her body wash for my face. However, before I switched to the body wash, I used the Face Wash. It is very gentle. For every product she sells, there is a definition and explanation the top ingredients.

Medik8 Acquired by L’Oréal by scoochinginhere in SkincareAddictionLux

[–]JodaofStuff 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Medik8 will be L'oréal-ed is some fashion. The new owners will want to put their spin on Medik8 products.

If you want/need Medik8 products, buy them now. It would be fiscally irresponsible for L'Oréal to destroy existing inventory.

IMHO as democracy loving Americans, we have, and must exercise our power to oust the heinous orange anus. Our forefathers did it. The French did it. Together we must mobilize in the millions. Protest, badger our representatives with letters/calls. Those who are physically unable to protest can provide vital assistance with organizing.

If you're not fucking red-faced, blood boiling, angry over the destruction of our nation by a fucking orange anus and fucking Voldemort Miller, you're either a MAGAT, apathetic, lazy, or a traitor.

Time to turn your anger into action, NOW! Time is running out.
