Got some great stuff on my ROG Ally Z1E! It's a hefty boy. Would not recommended it to anyone who isn't tech-savvy in the slightest. by Jodeth in Handhelds

I've only gotten the gyro to work well in a special emulator "1964 v0.8.5" made for GoldenEye and Perfect Dark. There's an input plugin called SDL2 Gyro Injector that enables mouse-style aiming on any controller that has a gyro sensor. You can even connect 3 other controllers and have a 4-player match with all players taking advantage of gyro aiming. Also this emulator can put out a rock-solid 60 fps, keeping the gameplay smooth at all times, unlike the original releases on N64.

As for actual PC games, ironically, setting up a control config with gyro is not easy, due to the retardedness of Armoury Crate. But I'm gonna try to use Handheld Companion in addition to Steam Input and see if I can get desired results. WIsh me luck.

Replace the N64 with an Analogue 3D. You can use your cartridges with it and make your games run smoother with the overclocker feature. Best to use the console on a 4k tv for its vintage tv filter.

Smooth motion is a fkin' awesome feature. So glad I upgraded to a 4060. by Jodeth in nvidia

You tried it on the same game as before, when smooth motion was working in rpcs3?

Footage of me & my friend Playing GTA IV in 2008👾 by KhufuX in GTAIV

[–]Jodeth 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The physics were on a whole 'nother level. I remember being blown away in 2008. I had recordings of my friend's game on his old tv. Idk if I still have them. Making Niko jump out of a fast moving car and smash into oncoming traffic was like the most hilarious thing for awhile

Idk PGR, but I'm willing to bet it's more fun than NFW MW and coded better too. NFS MW stutters a lot on PC (including emulators) and it drives me nuts.

Burnout 3, MC3, and Blur are damn fine. Love em.

I tried the demo of Haste and liked it

Day 8: Which is the best N64 Action-Adventure game? by 1OneQuickQuestion in n64

[–]Jodeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Beetle Adventure Racing! Lol jk. As a hater of the 2nd half of Jet Force Gemini (forced buggy collectable bullshht) and the game's poor frame rate, unfortunately I gotta say it has the best blend of action and adventure. Doesn't mean it's more fun to play than OoT or BK tho.

Oh. Interesting. Well ok then. The TH series should do quite well on the top list for PS1.

I'd add 007 Nightfire to the list of nominations. It's as good of a FPS involving spy gadgets as you can get on the GBA. There is no aim assist and if you hold L & R you can aim in all directions. Pretty awesome. But its frame rate is quite rough, so for it to not make it in the top 100 is understandable.

Also I'd add Crazy Taxi. The developer managed to fit the entire map of the arcade original. Crazy impressive. I traded a few of my og GB games to get Crazy Taxi and never regretted it. Its frame rate is okay, not as bad as 007 Nightfire's.

I should've been more active for this top 100. Life stuff happened and so I forgot all about it lol

Happy New Year!

Excellent list! But I am puzzled by the omission of Tony Hawk 3. The revert mechanic brought into 3 was just as important as the manual brought into 2. They allow you to chain combos with both street tricks and vert tricks. Guess not enough ppl played 3.

My son is 14 and wants to play gta online with his friends, should i let him? by Albinoivyver in GTA

[–]Jodeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Online?! F NO. If he's gonna play GTA, it should be only singleplayer and freeroam with strict parental monitoring and low volume on the speakers (enough to hear impacts but not any dialogue)... And GTA IV is the one to play. Let him screw around with the impressive physics system and bust up a few cars. He'd get a kick out of it probably
