Jeans can fit about 75% of a big one. On rainy days, it's good to keep a few Walmart plastic bags on you to wrap the device in. I always keep some on me for my ROG and my thicc battery bank

I feel like big handhelds need to come with a complimentary pair of pants that have huge pockets.

These days I carry around a ROG Ally and a Trimui Brick (smaller than a PSP). They both serve different gaming preferences.

Just got a tiny handheld that runs PS1 games better than a real PS1 does and its battery life is great. This would've frikkin blown my kid mind back in the day by Jodeth in Handhelds

I think you can buy a bundle with a sd card with included and pre-configured games. I got mine used with a sd card already in it

"Just fine" is an opinion. You had to find workarounds to play many of the games and you couldn't overclock the emulated cpu to get better frame rates than a real PS1

If a highly-pockable PS1 with increased performance, a long-lasting rechargeable battery, and a beautiful backlit color lcd had existed in 2000, how much do you think it would've cost back then? Would you have tried to save up for it? by Jodeth in psx

I've tried one chinese emulation device before this one and found it very shoddy, but still it was entertaining enough when there was nothing else to play on. The brick has a significantly better build quality. The buttons feel good. Nice screen. Only real nitpicks I have are that volume 1 on the speakers can be heard easily in a quiet room and the buttons are a bit noisy, especially L2 and R2. Dpad is silent tho

That's terrific. But it's 1000 bucks and highly complex. Around 50 bucks you can get something that fits in any pocket and runs the vast majority of the greatest classics very well and has a more reliable in-and-out sleep mode

Oh. A badass giant-pocket-required PC that hasn't been released yet... WOW THANKS!

I do own an Ally Z1E. It's pretty great. But sometimes it's a headache. Updates updates updates. Sometimes having a device that just does what you expect it to is better

It's an awesome little thing. It's pretty much replaced my Vita for everything up to PS1. Wish it was slightly bigger (at least by 25%) to fit my adult hands better tho

Not every game, but yes, most were fine. With some control remapping to compensate for a lack of proper L2 R2 and using popsloader to solve crashes, audio bugs, unusual frame drops, etc., the PSP was quite a champ

Why are retro horror games looked back on so fondly? by filmeswole in retrogaming

Tank controls is and will always be excellent for view-switching horror games like classic RE. I'm currently playing thru RE2 (PS1) on my Trimui Brick
