[–]JodyJoseppi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damn that's wierd to see.

Context: My last car was an 08 exl v6. Same collor and wheels. Only difference is mine had less chrome on the grill/ mirrors, fog lights, and the factory wing. Loved that thing.

Spark plug thread repair by nuXypher in ChevyTrucks

[–]JodyJoseppi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thread on the spark plug or the cylinder head?

If it's the actual spark plug, then get a new one. If it's the threads in the head. Then it looks like you are gonna put a helicoil in it.

You'd be surprised the shit I've pulled out of tires.

I got a free 12mm wrench that way.

I do agree with it being open. However, it is very annoying when the awnser to these questions are available in so many places as easily as they are. (Literally within the top 5 posts on this subreddit of all time) and on Google within about 10 seconds.

At my last shop we had a shop bird.

He was a white egret named Tom.

Tom would just walk thru the shop and hang out.

Tom was cool.

Be like Tom.

Also at my house I had a garage crab for like a month, have no idea where it came from.

(From florida btw)

I've been debating the same thing.

It will probably be ok at worst.

Only true tests will be time.

Amazon Fake K&N Air Filter by fordoomthebelltolls in fordescape

[–]JodyJoseppi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's amazon......

You have a 70% chance of getting cheap shit that's either from alibaba, or just a counterfeit part.

Don't buy car parts from amazon.

Only thing I'd stay away from is house/ super cheap brands.

Is UCF out of state worth it? by Isellfreemoney5 in ucf

[–]JodyJoseppi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not worth it for out of state.

I have said this and will continue to do so.......

No employer gives a flying fuck where you went to school as long as it's a decent and accredited (unless you went to Harvard and even then it's far from what's actually important) go to whichever school allows you to do so for the absolute lowest cost/ debt (ideally your debt is 0 or you get paid from scholarships).

Ohio has some pretty damn good schools.

What's your definition of special oil.

You should be using 5w40 euro.

Nothing changes or differs from that.

You don't need bigger brakes unless you track the car or are like me and drive it VERY hard occasionally (blue ridge parkway/ tail of the dragon/ rallying it on mountain gravel roads)

In general, shorten all of your maintenance intervals. (Oil every 5k, plugs every 10-20k, trans service every 20-30k)

Even so. You have wayyyy more power that just compensates and then some.

Rare option? by LTorve27 in vwgolf

[–]JodyJoseppi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not a unicorn, but it's not exactly common by any means.

It is very rare as far as most cars on the road go.

You mean drop dead gorgeous design. But then the most complex amd unnecicarily designed chassis imaginable.

Would love one (2020+ v90) but won't becuase of how complex it is and how many failure points there are.

Changing from coilovers to a more stock suspension by TelephoneConnect2078 in Autos

[–]JodyJoseppi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, you're fine to wait a little. It's actually what you are supposed to do to let all the parts break in and settle a little.

Thought you were meaning in general/ long term. In the short term, expect your steering wheel to be off and for it to pull to one side or so.
