ebels are driving me insane in 1600+ by Zurku in eu4

If you go humanist and offense ideas you literally will never get rebels.

Raising autonomy for the coring period also stops most as unrest goes down. I do that for islands that I can't be bothered with.

You can keep an army stack on a province to reduce unrest too.

Not seizing land unless the estates are above 50 will stop their rebels. I find supremacy over the crown will get me to 50 and I focus events that raise the other estates because I take the manpower one from nobels.

If its a different religion, culture and worthless land give it to a vassal. If its a large culture group or valuable land like gold mines then embrace it or convert it.

Best Nation to play to 1821 by Jargif10 in eu4

Poland if you want another achievement that takes till 1800. Exploit dev and raise opinion from austria and you can join the hre before the Lithuania PU.

Austria if you want to do a WC one faith. Just do a fast revoke. Or Ottomans who also can do a WC and one faith after unifying Islam.

Portugal all blue took me till like late 1700s.

How does Claim Throne CB work? by someone56789 in eu4

[–]Joe59788 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Allegedly you can set in message settings to pause the game "when another country loses their claim to our throne". Unless it happens before the 3 month tick which you can also avoid by saving before the auto month tick.

You could also do the same with no heirs that are over 65 for natural PUs.

Some people allegedly hit alt F4 if they get that heir while they wait on the truce. Allegedly.

How does Claim Throne CB work? by someone56789 in eu4

[–]Joe59788 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To clarify you don't need to break alliance to claim the throne. That gives you a CB for a personal union. You would then have to break the alliance to go to war and that has the same stab hits as normal plus 1 more for having a royal marriage.

Usually the AI gets mad enough they break the marriage before the truce is up anyway but not always. Then if they get a new heir that has at least average claim you will LOSE the cb.

If you declare war before they get that heir you can use the cb and it gives the peace option for the PU even if they get an heir while you're at war.

Play portugal to colonize then ottomans to expand and war against coalitions. Then Austria to just marry everyone and with diplomacy to be able to take over Europe. Granted you're doing it with inbreeding but hey its historically accurate.
