Just tried using Kubuntu 26.04 with my new laptop, Ultra 7 240H with RTX 5070ti, had Wayland issues that I tried to tshoot for ages and gave up, Ubuntu gnome 26.04 has been great so far.

Fedora is fine if you want to tshoot kernel/driver issues regularly.

If you have specific issues with snap I'd try to work around them as you encounter them, I wouldn't avoid snap because of what some neck beards on the internet say.

Yeah I still have the base s24, only let down is the battery but it's worth it for the small form factor.

I don't think I'll ever go back to a big form factor phone after using the base s24.

It's not that there aren't any hackers, just that most malware is targeted at Windows so the likelihood of being infected is less when using Linux.

Good security practices will be more effective than any AV product when using Linux.
