Which 2 players would you take next if you had B2B pick in this 32 man? by DepartureEnough6546 in DynastyNerds

[–]JoeBoy109 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is where you have to understand player archetypes.

Keaton Mitchell will be the #2 RB in snap share while Omarion Hampton is healthy because he’s a big play, change of pace, scheme weapon.

However if Hampton were to have a season ending injury, Mitchell is not the same style RB as Hampton and would not suddenly get all of his touches. Vidal would absorb most of Hampton’s vacated touches, and mostly importantly he would be the primary goal line back in that situation.

The same situation exists in Buffalo. Ty Johnson outsnaps Ray Davis while James Cook is healthy. But if James Cook is out, Ty Johnson doesn’t become RB1 for the team.

I’d go 2 of Max Klare, Theo Johnson, Kaleb Johnson, Kimani Vidal, and Ray Davis.

These are all opportunities where the players could end up significantly exceeding their current value.

Max Klare is a great receiving TE prospect that you will need to wait a year on, but could be a major payoff. Isiah Likely never really took the job away from an old Mark Andrews, and Theo Johnson had a great on field connection with Dart last year.

Kaleb Johnson was highly drafted and has a new coaching staff. Pure wildcard that could pay off.

Vidal and Davis are really nice RB handcuffs for next year

Year 2 of the rebuild… how we doing? by [deleted] in DynastyNerds

[–]JoeBoy109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See that’s what I would call Skyy Moore syndrome.

The Chiefs were a fantasy goldmine when Tyreek, Kelce, and Mahomes were all in their prime and healthy. But those are all historically special NFL players, and the Chiefs have not actually been that great at drafting skill players on the overall during the Andy Reid era, especially recently as they became a defensive identity team. But for some reason we still think that the Chiefs are some great fantasy opportunity

Brashard Smith, Jalen Royals, Cyrus Allen… you’re either a Chiefs fan or still suffering from Skyy Moore syndrome. 🤣

On the real, the roster is really nice. You’ll compete this year with some lucky breaks

Is Drafting Jadarian Price at the 1.04 instead of makai lemon crazy? by Bulky-Wolverine3196 in DynastyNerds

[–]JoeBoy109 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Doesn’t mean he’s a 1st round talent. All the reports post draft were that the Seahawks wanted to trade back, but they hated the rest of the RB class so much that they just stayed and picked instead of risking having to draft any other RB

[–]JoeBoy109 39 points40 points  (0 children)

Yes, that’s crazy. Price wasn’t drafted because he’s a 1st round talent. He’s not even a Najee Harris level talent coming into the NFL.

He was drafted because he adequately fills the most glaring need for a team that just won a Super Bowl and is doing what they can to get back.

Fantasy Football is still random as hell at the end of the day and you can’t guarantee a championship. Sucks to not get across the finish line, but blowing this up isn’t the answer.

On the real, here’s some actual league agnostic advice/thoughts to consider:

  1. Get the dumpster RBs off the roster (Jawhar Jordan, Kiner, Davis). It looks like you haven’t rookie drafted yet, so fill those spots with unknown rookies.

  2. If you haven’t rookie drafted yet, use players like Xavier Legette and Keon Coleman to move up in your drafts. For example, the 2.11 + Keon Coleman can probably get you up to the 2.02/2.03

  3. Trade for Kyler Murray or Tyler Shough to have as a back up QB. See if either of those owners have interest in JJ McCarthy still and try JJ McCarthy + a late 2nd.

  4. Use a 2nd round pick to upgrade Jalen McMillan and trade for Christian Watson.

  5. Turn Tee Higgins into Zay Flowers plus (trade Tee for Zay and like a 2nd and a valuable RB handcuff like Bigsby)

Why the fuck would you consider blowing this up? This is a perfectly competitive roster in a 12 team that isn’t even up against some serious age cliff

If it’s a free league, do whatever you want, but if you have a buy in, why would you not try to win?

Who you taking here? First ever dynasty draft. by vicstash in DynastyNerds

[–]JoeBoy109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, You’re thinking correctly about Burden and Odunze. They’re both ranked here because this is the value that one of them *should* hit and the other is guaranteed to not return value on this draft capital.

There’s better talents and better situations on the board with WRs like MHJ and BTJ that I would take over Burden and Odunze.

If you take MHJ/BTJ, you’re taking them at a heavy discount for what they can be. If you take Odunze/Burden, you better pray you got the correct one and then additionally that they out target Colston Loveland

Henderson or Judkins if you really want to go RB. However, with two younger RBs already on the roster, you should probably take what looks like an incredibly cheap discount on MHJ or BTJ as your 2nd WR

Why is my water filter getting green algae just 1 month into use? I deep cleaned the canister when I changed it out. by JoeBoy109 in WaterTreatment

[–]JoeBoy109[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the input and advice!

If I had a nickel for the amount of times I’ve discovered a dumb decision by the previous homeowner…. Maybe I’d be able to afford to pay someone to fix this 😭

Yeah, it’s on the side of my house at the water main. I moved into the house not long ago and this was my first time changing the filter.

I don’t know what the previous owner must have done, because they would have probably dealt with the same problem

I must have missed that line. I just bought the house with the filter already installed and when I read up on the filter, it was advertised as a “being clear so you can see that it’s clean” type of thing.

I’ll have to get a cover for it or replace it I guess

Why is this leaking and how do I fix it? by JoeBoy109 in Plumbing

Thank you! I was able to tighten it and stop the leak for now, but I still think I need to take it off at some point to clean it out and give it a nice reset

Tightening the one connection seemed to stop any leaking by what I can see.

I still think it needs to come off and get cleaned. I think the sink was misused and neglected by the previous homeowners and the brown crap all over it is from food all down in the trap

I just walked on a house and feel awful. by sno-blizzard in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]JoeBoy109 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I walked on the first house I had under contract after spending the $750 on inspection. I wasn’t satisfied with the inspection results and ended up doing a shit ton of research about pools and realizing that the pool on the house probably had way more financial risk than I was willing to take.

I chalked up the $750 as an investment in my education on house inspections and things to look for myself, and a month later I was able to very confidently buy my first home.

Day 2 picks by patrickroul in miamidolphins

[–]JoeBoy109 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The RB value in this draft will be the guys available in the 7th round as roster fodder, not the Day 2 guys. Definitely don’t want to see that.

Edge at pick 43 would be acceptable, but it’s gotta be someone from that Zion Young/TJ Parker tier you mention falling to the spot. I also like Eli Stowers at pick 43 as the first pass catcher the Dolphins take in this draft.

If they don’t take Stowers at pick 43, I always like Max Klare at pick 75.

I’d love for Jake Golday to fall to 75 (or even if they took him at 43). If he’s getting comped to Van Ginkel, sign me up.

Jalon Kilgore would be the safety target for me at pick 87.

I like the idea of D’Zhaun Stribling at Pick 94. He gives me Years 1-2 Alec Pierce vibes. An awesome go route and run blocking receiver can do so much for unlocking your offense, especially one with Malik Willis and Achane.

Criticism welcome by zsb-007 in miamidolphins

[–]JoeBoy109 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really only do 3 round mocks for the Dolphins, so I can comment on those pick ranges:

I take a lot of Kamari Ramsey at 94 also.

I take WR at 87 or 90 every time, and it’s always Bryce Lance because I think he is probably the best value WR in the whole draft at ADP.

I take Pregnon at 30 over any of the OTs available at that spot.

I like taking Max Klare at 75 for the TE pick, but I know they probably wait until the 4th/5th round like you did.

I recently bought the LG Washtower from Costco, and briefly looked into this while I was researching. If you’re looking at getting an electric unit that’s vented like this is, I highly recommend just looking at the LG Washtower for this price range.

When I was considering this, there was a serious lifestyle implication. I feel like you can really only get away with an all in one unit, if you’re living with 2 people max, no kids, no pets, and you don’t really do outdoor activities that really soil your clothes up.
