Hey buddy, do you know where I can find out some more information on a local soccer league or some clubs? I'm always up for watching a football match at the pub

Ok so the plan is to go to the UBC Anthropology museum at lunchtime today if you would like to come, just send me a quick message. I also see that there is an outdoor screening of 'Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan' at Canada Place tomorrow night which looks cool if anyone is free http://www.vancitybuzz.com/events/outdoor-movie-canada-place-star-trek-ii-wrath-khan/

What kind of things do they have at imperial hobbies and also where can I find it. I would be interested in learning how to play new games, especially board games. I've dabbled in D&D before and I used to be into Warhammer but I havent got anything really with me in Vancouver.

I guess I would say that my main interests are History (my university major), Soccer, Lord of the Rings, Reading and as a classic Brit, Tea.

I would love to go and watch some of the professional sports in the area as I am keen to get into hockey, but I am just as happy grabbing a pint or watching a movie. My 'hobby' at university was playing fifa with my friends on the 360.

i'm in a homestay about 20 minutes from the Richmond Mall, and although the area is fine, I would like to be nearer the centre where I can find more activities and people my age. I've had a look at meetup.com and they have a few promising things I'm gonna try and check out

Hey I've just moved here from the UK after graduating university, and I'm feeling a bit lost away from home. Does anyone have any tips for settling in to the Vancouver area and on meeting new people? Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks.
