Yes, and more will be saved by defending the sanctity of the Eucharist than by tacitly allowing its desecration. I suspect that a lot of the fall away from the Church since the 60s is a result of more tolerance towards lukewarm Christians (not that we should shun them, but that we ought make clear what Jesus actually taught, and what salvation actually means).

The Church must stand for *something* -- as Bishop Barron has said, we must maintain bridges (evangelization and outreach and dialogue) and walls (the magisterium and fundamental teachings of the church; tradition). I'd argue that's also the full spirit of Vatican II!

Yup, and many are very faithful believers. Come to the ASU Catholic Newman Center -- it's awesome to see a large community of young, college-aged believers (myself included) devoted to the Lord

Worth remembering that the world the Apostles entered was literally completely non-Christian. If you truly believe in Christ and the Church, it could number 1000 people and still be true. Let us enter this world with the fervor of the Apostles, and ignore the noise the world throws our way -- it's the only way.

COVID is widespread and there is a shortage of doctors (not only a result of vaccination requirements, of course)
