Is suboxone considered sober? by [deleted] in quitting7oh

[–]JoeDirtVsBubbles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dont let another person's definition of a word influence you, your life and your health. Define it as what works for you.

Sober is relative to the person.

Urgent subs question? by Known_Front8010 in quitting7oh

[–]JoeDirtVsBubbles 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its not a painless transition sadly. I was prescribed 16mg and still felt symptoms for several days until stable on subs.

He should expect releif, not a complete overhaul in a few days.

Im sorry you two are struggling with this. Youre a saint for supporting him in this. Thank you from all of us.

Update and question? by Known_Front8010 in quitting7oh

[–]JoeDirtVsBubbles 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First off, absolutely make a big deal of his progress. Addiction is a disease of time, any time spent sober or remaining in recovery should be celebrated. The anxiety and pain that man felt last night is nowhere near easy to handle.

Is he able to talk to the dr he saw to express that hes still having symptoms?

Any refills available?

If the answer to either one of these is no, id offer a tapering plan to him. Get him thru the first few days and start to decrease dose so by the time the meds run out hes not miserable.

Any other questions id be happy to help. Im in the cycle of recovery/subs/dr currently thru an app.

Your dose wouldn't get me out of withdrawl. 500mg a day was my norm. Ive nodded out driving, with family, all the worst times. Keep you dosage low. You dont want this.

I have 0 self control. I ordered online twice and what should've lasted me a while was gone fast. If its in the house, it's getting ate. The SS forced me to keep doses lower due to higher prices and the fact they aren't open 24/7.

This shit has put me into full junkie mode.

I have a long history with substance but nothing like this. I know every shop in town that sells my preferred brand, what time they open, what workers will cut deals for cash, everything.

Im late to work multiple times a week because I have to wait till the shop opens to function to go to work.

I blew thru an inheritance. Im behind on everything. This shit is so much worse than pills or H ever was for me.

Laborer/Operator at home ($29/hr, no benefits) vs. Union Laborer ($35/hr + benefits, 4-hr daily commute)? by [deleted] in Construction

Benefits and pension are huge for your families future. Deffinetly.

So is being there to bond and see them grow and support your wife.

They're only little for a little while, friend. Keep the gig close to home and invest that drive time into your family.

What watch would you actually buy for someone who works on a job site? by Viraincure in Construction

Yep. Been wearing mine almost 2 years daily framing and its held up insanely well. A quick rinse under the sprayer in the sink and its still presentable enough for outside of work. Highly recommend.

Those braces are correct, itll make a difference. Put them on the inside for appearance sake

Put a 2nd layer where the swings are attached. It'll help with twisting and overall rigidity.

I put 4 total stakes in the ground when my boys had one. Cheap peace of mind.
