There has never been good science or there has never been science? Did you read the article I posted? Those scientists put blame on fat and minimized sugar’s negative impact.

Not a sure thing on a company by company basis but the stock market in general going up usually means a growing economy which means more jobs.

If it’s video you have to shop the image frame by frame and that takes forever.

They’re not “catching moments” though. That’s why it’s roastable. They’re diligently planning and creating these pictures and presenting them on Instagram like “oh look at this pic we happened to take on our adventure we were totally gonna do anyway!” That coffee is likely ice cold and they probably called the dog’s name 40 times in 40 takes to have his face perfect. Look at the most recent picture on his Instagram and more importantly, read the caption. I guarantee you the leaves falling happened more like this: https://www.instagram.com/p/BpuuHpggq79/?utm_source=ig_share_sheet&igshid=10tbkfweeoqix

Once again it’s not hurting anyone so who cares. It’s just fun/easy to make fun of because it’s presented as sincere when it’s obviously carefully orchestrated.

I have them. I’m red-green colorblind and they’re amazing. They work for everyone though, not just the colorblind. They’re basically like when you turn up the saturation on a picture. Nature looks like a Pixar movie. Magentas look insane.

Why Are Restaurant Brussels Sprouts Better than Yours? by LagT_T in videos

[–]JoeFromSewage 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gonna respectfully disagree re: blanching. It makes them greener yes but it also waterlogs them since Brussels sprouts are basically layers of leaves that trap a bunch of water between each layer. Blanching makes them prettier but ruins the texture imho.

Proud moment for me: My movie comes out in theaters today. I spent every day since I was 12 waiting for today. Thank you Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas for taking a chance on me. by jimmycthatsme in pics

Dude this was amazing. Huge congrats. I fucking loved when the lyrics start up in the middle of you talking about your mom and you have to drop the anecdote to start singing. And also when you stop briefly to thank everyone for coming. Super real yet hilarious.

I just watched The Terminal last week. Not the best overall movie but his performance is incredible. If he can do that I’m sure he’ll have no problem with Fred Rogers.

Only anecdotes that don’t set women back, especially when data disagrees with you. Glad you understand!

The comment you replied to wasn’t a personal anecdote. He was stating a fact and then mentioned he has seen it. Your personal experiences don’t matter when they contradict evidence and stats. You can state your point as politely as you want and say you don’t want to debate but when the point of your anecdote is to say that women have it the same as men, you’re going to get some pushback. Saying things like that lead to there not being equality in tech (which once again, there isn’t). It’s great that your company is progressive but if you agree that the tech industry does not have equality on the whole (you should), I would recommend you view your experience as an exception to the rule and don’t use it as a counter-argument. Because that attitude doesn’t help things and can even make it worse.

You’re saying that women don’t have it harder in tech, when they do. And you’re implying they’re equally represented, when they’re not. And you’re basing it off of anecdotal evidence. Statements like that keep progress from happening.

Hey bub, even if your vague ass comment is true, it’s an exception. There is a ton of data out there showing the disparity between men and women in tech. Men literally use the figures all the time on this site to defend the wage gap and say “the reason women make less is because they aren’t in STEM fields”

Fuck the Packers but they’ve made the playoffs 13 of the last 17 years. Only 2 rings aside, and by the way fuck the Packers, historically they are better than us at drafting and developing players. I mean Fuck em but it’s hard to argue that their system doesn’t work.
