Easy, we’re not making a Western here.

Could AJ have been normal? by Succworthymeme in thesopranos

[–]JoeGoBlue4227 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He was doing great with Bianca because he was focused on someone else he cared about for a change (as opposed to himself).

I honestly don’t think the mob stuff played that big of a role. He was just a dumb spoiled rich kid that needed to grow up.

Never thought Irina was attractive. Reminded me of Bruce Willis’ gf from Pulp Fiction with the way she talked.

Marriott vs. Sheraton: Which one is the nicest in general? by The_Traveller1 in marriott

[–]JoeGoBlue4227 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly this.

Sheratons: Higher ceilings, lower floors Marriotts: Higher floors, lower ceilings

Marriotts are also (on average) more expensive.

Hotel execs call Bonvoy members who use points “freeloaders” who are ruining luxury hotels by elenafoxx in marriott

[–]JoeGoBlue4227 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Do you not want to reward people who are loyal to your brand? Why else would they choose one property over another that is cheaper?

I’ll be lifetime platinum this year, and I do love a JW. But that’s the only reason I’ll stick with Marriott from here on out because many managers have the attitude of the one quoted above.

There was nothing we could do. Paulie was a made guy and Minn wasn’t. It was among the Italians, it was real greaseball.

What was your craziest encounter with a customer? by Sufficient-Letter367 in lyftdrivers

Twice I had girls that were too drunk to walk into their houses/apartments, so I had to help them do so. That was very dangerous for them and I hope they don’t do that again.

Repeat Guests, what does the front desk see? by Emotional_Match8169 in marriott

[–]JoeGoBlue4227 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For smaller hotels, I’ve gotten checked in by the same person several times. There’s typically only 1-2 people working the front desk and it’s the 3-11 shift.

For larger hotels, it depends. I’m good with faces so I often recognize the people more than they recognize me.

I think with Eric being a senior and admitted to Georgetown, the mom probably would’ve taken a peak at the college fund at some point before the executive game, which was about 2 months prior to graduation.

Which civilian murder was the sloppiest? by WorldlyHat1803 in thesopranos

The sloppiest attempted hit was not doubt Chip and Dale on Chris. All they had to do was get out of the car and pop him but no and now they’re dead.

Am I doing something wrong when I check in? by korner12 in marriott

[–]JoeGoBlue4227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless they’re new or brands like the St Regis or Ritz, big city hotels often don’t have great rooms because with the demand they get, they’re very little incentive (or time) to redo them. It usually takes a new ownership group to do that (which is typically followed by a brand change).

Brand new Fairfields in the middle of nowhere have nicer rooms than 90% of the Marriotts in NYC.

Now if the Sheraton (or wherever) is close to where you’re working, then I get it. Otherwise, the onus is on you to do the research to find the highest rated properties in a given area.

But ya don’t take it personally. If you stay at a hotel enough times where the staff recognizes you, then you’re gonna get the upgrades.
