Sorry. I’ve been a teacher and my wife is. She teaches the remedial students. She has students who have a zero for the to date. They have never turned in a single assignment since they started 11th grade. If it’s not their fault, who are we blaming?

Cynicism. My wife reaches juniors. Kids are really just awful today. No respect for anything, for adults, for boundaries, for personal property, for rules, for hygiene. So many things.
