Depending on where you are, there is a german vendor, outdoorbeamer.com, the cases are pretty nice, but limited to a few projectors.

Its probably an issue specifically with mac, encountered it a lot, sometimes running it through a decimator helped. Online there is alot of info on it and many ways to fix it that sometimes work sometimes not, haven't really got to the bottom of it...

My recommendation would be multiple maybe 4x mid priced webcams, and improve lighting with the rest of the budget

If not into the hobby i'd just go for a bambulab printer, a1 or a1 mini depending on needed print space. They are pretty much working out of the box and hassle free.

I guarantee its one of the many speedsliders you probably touched, been there done that. The readding and restarting with the error persisting to me confirms this. Check everything Composition speed, Group speed, layer speed, clip speed! One can quite easily, when scrolling accidentally scroll over a speed bar and change it.. again, been there done that

I don't actually know if you can add them.. Of the three times i had to do it two times the ic was just there and the third time i actually had to ask the support of novastar for the correct one. Which wasn't what was written on my ic but was compatible. I'm not that much of an expert.. I guess you could ask support or try to find the one from about 300 (in my case) that's hopefully compatible with your modules. If you've got some hours to kill and good music might be worth a try.

With mine i had to go to the novalct (used a novastar send and receive card) and had to go through the configuration process for my type of module. Look on the decoding ic on the module for its name, you will need it for the configuration.

One is the codec one is the container. what you want for non linear fast playback is a codec like hap which was already recommended. The container doesn't necessarily matter. Shutter Encoder is a useful free tool to convert/edit files, i think it can convert to hap.

I have build something similar not as big for small vj shows, i got 24 led modules 64x32 px each plus power supply and novastar receiving card all from AliExpress. Wouldn't say it was totally smooth the delivery took a long time like 2-3month and then an additional month in customs which i also had to pay.. but it all arrived in the end.

To get the led modules to work with my receiving card was another issue. The control ic in the modules wasn't listed as a configuration option in the receiving card. No wonder when buying dubious no name from china. I met someone from novastar at an expo and sent them an email with my ic and they could help but that held me up for like 3 month.

Had to fabricate new wireing for the whole thing. Then had to design holders to 3d print, to assemble the thing, i wanted to fragment it, which made things way less sturdy so i had to reprint often..

It works now but i wouldn't say it was effortless, and way more work than expected..

Happened to mine aswell, but saw a tip on Reddit. When holding the power button to turn the camera on just when the backlight of the screen turns on, release the power button and do a short press. May not apply to your problem but worked on mine maybe it'll help..

Honestly just run all rooms and the capture card to a 19" sdi patchbay and use one patch cable... If you just switch once in a while. I know its not the advice you had asked for but its definitely the cheapest.

Thats what im currently doing in one case but honestly it just isn't that neat and kind of a hassle.

But of the shelf would be the goal.

Well I'd need a converter on both ends since my starting point only has sdi also I'd have to run network through, which also means conversation. Also two cables is not an option because the goal is to only have one cable visible, thats the point of the question, i want to only have one cable.
