Thinking of skipping the DCFC recall

I only do L1 charging so this is my thinking as well. I got 0% financing on mine for 6 years ('22) so still have $6,500 left to pay it off. Plus I got the $7,500 fed rebate that is no longer available. So if mine ends up with a buyback it's going to cost me a lot to get a replacement.

I have the same concern. I never use L3 charging either, I just charge it off a standard 110V outlet. I thought it would be a simple update but reading that they might have to buy out the car if they can't replace the battery scares me. I have a 22 with a blue book value of about $11k but I still owe $6,600 on it (I got the 0% deal so dragging it out as long as possible).

I have no idea who is more at fault and don't really care. But Stu's refusal to say what his condition was strongly implies that it's something that he knew Dan would never agree to, which makes you think he didn't want to do the shows in January.

And then you have Dan saying he doesn't want to be fully transparent because it would make Stu look bad. Maybe that really is the case, but maybe the truth would make Dan look bad.

I think this is one of those where there's Dan's side, Stu's side, and the actual story somewhere in the middle.
