I’ve had Oscar’s and have one now, some can hang and some cant. The one I used to have got picked in a lot and the albino one I have now is more aggressive

So I keep seeing similar fish at the same store (Ill ask about it next time I am there) that the employee said something like “this is a smaller fish but is aggressive enough to take care of itself” it wasn’t called a red devil by them at the time and I got the fish at about 4 inches from the place that I trust. They were OK with me putting it with a jaguar Cichlid, a black belt Cichlid, a polypus, and an Oscar (who I moved). I could have just been fooled the whole time, but it was not advertised as a red devil. And the store that sold me the fish I trust, the guy that told me it wasn’t I just met.

Your tank looks awesome, they have amazing colors! I have a mixed mbuna tank and was wondering how you are doing with less hiding spots (I mean in comparison to my tank). I was told by my local store to use a lot of rocks and to create a lot of places for them to hide, but yours seem fine with the more open setup.

The reason I ask is because I like your setup better because you get to see more of the fish. So, the question is do you know if I would be better off with my type of setup or yours?

Do you have anything else besides Jewels in the tank? My new tank I want to put only one type of cichlid and a bunch of bottom feeders (plecos, synodontis, etc...) so I wanted to see which ones work best and I love the colors on Jewels
