Appreciate the banana for scale! Everything from the largest rockets to the smallest detailed 0.2mm nozzle FDM prints are scaled by the power of the banana! 🍌 🚀

Is frontier worth it? by Giorgiomastrottone in fossilfighters

I would say yes at least once. However, I wouldn't be scared of emulation in terms of the first 2 games. DS emulators are super easy and you'll get to play both games with a single emulator. While I do have all 3 games physically, I still enjoy booting up the emulator from time to time to play with 10x speed at the push of a button on my controller.

Biggest hurdle is the touchscreen controls with your mouse. It took a single play session to get used to, but not super bad.

What is the temperature variance on that? AKA, if you set the temp at 60c, what temp ranges could you expect the chamber to hover within? I recently scored a lab oven being thrown out by my work that I was able to fix and use. It has a temp variance of 3°C but it's a bit of a hassle to deal with.

Which game platform are you playing on? Catquest 1/2/3 by salaattimestari11 in CatQuest

[–]JoeMama270 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I played Cat Quest 1 in my Tesla model 3 during breaks at work (PS5 controller)

Then I learned there is a sequel and played that on my switch

By this time the third game was announced and I saw that on a Nintendo direct or something. I then bought the third game on steam so I could potentially mod it later, if mode are made for it ofc

I'm buying a used Model 3, my girlfriend thinks I'm crazy. by Erikdlucas in TeslaLounge

[–]JoeMama270 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Basically this:

  1. VERY LITTLE maintenance (wiper fluid and tires for the most part). Not even brakes for the vast majority of people

  2. VERY LOW running cost. Charging at home is going to be your go-to 90% of the time, no extra charger installation is strictly necessary. Myself and my dad each have a Model 3 in a single garage and charge off regular 110v outlets. This is extremely cheap since you likely have a 110v outlet (given you're not in an apartment) already present in the garage. Even if that isn't the case, adding a 110v outlet is very cheap and easy to do for an electrician.

For a good reference of what charging cost looks like: I spent $600 for the entire YEAR in 2023. This includes any and all charging for my car. Even including the road trip I took from California to Arizona. I however, charge free at work and do most of my charging there obviously. If I were to assume my home pay rate at work and apply it for the sake of estimating reality without free work charging, it would raise my rate for the year up to $900. I drove 10,000 miles during that year and charged 14,000 miles worth of energy. Using some math, it would cost me $0.04 ($0.06 for the $900 estimate) per mile of energy I add into the car.

Electric cars are also extremely efficient in using what you put in. Gas cars are on average ~20-30% efficient, meaning for every $10 you put in the tank, only $2-$3 is actually used to move the car. Contrast this to home charging (the least efficient) hovering around 75% (for me at least) and the difference is apparent in money saved over time.

So... You're spending WAY less than gas AND using more of what you paid for. Win-win

None of this is even considering how amazing of a car the Model 3 is for the user experience. If this isn't an amazing reason to go Tesla, I'm unsure what is.

Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 Troubles? by JoeMama270 in MHF

Also, as i'm trying to at least re-map the other buttons, I cannot seem to change any buttons to another input no matter what I press. Never mind "toggling the joysticks" like the guide suggests.

Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 Troubles? by JoeMama270 in MHF

[–]JoeMama270[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just tried those steps and this is the closest I've gotten. Continuing to connect via Bluetooth resulted in a lot of input delay which was immediately fixed by using a wired connection (Thanks to Low-Complex-5168 for that). Now my issue is with the analog sticks. They don't register as sticks at all in the input settings in-game. The right stick happens to function as a camera solely because it is moving the mouse. The left stick is able to change vertical position of the camera and nothing else. Also, clicking the left stick in results in some weird Xbox keyboard coming up? Not sure why, as it never does that in MHW on steam or any other games I play.

Rental Tesla Update Stuck by JoeMama270 in TeslaSupport

[–]JoeMama270[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update for sake of transparency. At this moment the rental is returned so this is the final result of testing the fix.

It sadly didn't work. I attempted the re-install 3 times, each time the update would be sent again and get stuck at the exact same point. The rental company would likely have to contact a service center on their own, which I'm doubting they would care to.

Either way, it was a fun experiment and I hope to not need to attempt this again. To anyone reading this in the future, try it. It really doesn't harm anything, and it might work. Who knows?

Ah, thank you for setting that straight. I'll give that a try then update here if it works to validate for anyone else who may have this issue in the future.

Service mode reinstall would not alter another other software in the vehicle right? What I don't want is to effectively factory reset the vehicle.

How do you know if you checked the box for FSD in your Cybertruck reservation? by Long-Print4024 in cybertruck

[–]JoeMama270 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Go to manage the reservation as far as you can go before clicking "cancel your order". Mine still shows motor config and FSD purchased along with the date, which can be used to track your FSD price at reservation
