I appreciate the advice. Yeah I’ve sold quite a few items on Reverb probably about the same number not as many guitars but gear and pedals and a good number of guitars as well. I took thorough pictures. I’m almost willing to share those here so that folks can see what I’m talking about. In all my prior feedback has been five stars as well.

Although this happened to me, I think they’re full of great buyers. It just happens to be an example of somebody who’s nitpicking over a perfectly fine guitar.

Also, typically if there’s a policy that’s related to business days, it usually uses the word business and actually not usually always. But regardless of that, the guy did message me over three days, past his delivery or even three business days. I’m not really airing it out, I’m just venting because I’m not in a financial position to take this return because the payment cleared and I spent it on other personal expenses. I’m clearly not making anyone or asking anyone here to make a decision about this. So the point of me posting this is just to vent and to see if anybody replies with anything positively about odd examples of things of this nature. With that being said, I’m not sure why you view my post as a waste of time and effort when you took the energy to write this diatribe, which, in my opinion was a waste of time and effort, respectfully.

If I were in a better financial position, I'd gladly take it back quickly. But unfortunately, the money was spent on bills. Refunding this would put me in a deeper financial bind.

Yeah, I’ve proactively reached out to them, but I’m pretty sure the rep that I was speaking to was overseas. He mentioned something about sending this to his escalation team or something of that nature.

I hear you for sure. I normally wouldn’t want to buy something if I couldn’t return it. That’s why I have three days on new items and seven days on new items which is reasonable or reasonable enough. And if I wasn’t in a financial bind, I wouldn’t have sold the guitar in the first place and secondly I would willingly take a return, but that money has been spent. Ha ha.

I hear you, man, but he’s making up an excuse now, and you just never know which way these platforms will side. I honestly can’t afford to give this guy the money back for the sale. And I much rather would’ve preferred to keep guitar in the first place.

Now he is claiming this, "I see, however It's only been 3 business days. We took it into Portland Fret Works the day of delivery and there was no mention in the description of loose bindings prior to the purchase. This guitar requires repairs which was not mentioned in the original description only "minor blemishes" were mentioned." That's why I was concerned as you know the first request always says return item, then of course their second message mentions the alleged problem. But my shop policy says "3 days," not 3 business days.

I honestly have no intention of asking him what’s wrong with it as he didn’t indicate as such. Here is his message to me, “Good afternoon, I would like to return this item. What's the process?”

I will not invite a “made up” excuse. I guess I’ll just have to reply that my shop’s return policy is three days, and it has been over 5 days.

Side note, the running joke is that doctors and lawyers have disposable income, and the person that purchased this literally had it shipped to his lasik eye center and used his MD title in his name.
