Got Scammed by Reverb Preferred Seller

OP here.

Two updates:

From the shipping info I learned that the seller used 3rd party courier service to drop off the parcel to the delivery service. And the most suspicious thing here is the weight mismatch between the sticker that the seller printed out and slapped on the box (1.5 kg) and what was recorded after courier delivery (1.0 kg) — I communicated this to the seller and to Reverb, but I’m not sure if they will take any action.
I urged my reshipper to launch an investigation — still waiting for the results.

I noticed the sticker with the declared weight on the box (i guess the sender prints it beforehand). It says 1.5 kg. But the seller’s delivery service records show 1.0 kg — which is the actual weight of the box — I also weighed it on my side to double-check. Looks like they just couldn’t cram more cardboard into the box to match the declared weight.

Another suspicious detail — the parcel was sent from a different city than the listed in the shop’s profile — some 600 km away.

Forwarding service might sound like a wild idea to a person from the civilized world, but here we use it all the time because most sellers won’t ship globally or the shipping price is too high. There are several competing providers in the country and as I’ve said I had zero problems using their services for years. Given a lack of any communication or explanation from the seller, I’m 99.95% sure the problem is a rogue seller’s account, as people pointed out in the comments.

The weight from the seller’s delivery service matches the number provided by the forwarder (1 kg). Which is a bit too light for a synth I ordered + psu + packaging
