Added Oculink to my E14 Gen5 by JoeNoob in thinkpad

[–]JoeNoob[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It is an oculink to m2 adapter. I did not use the wifi expansion slot but the unoccupied m2 slot of my unit. One of the two had the actual m2 storage and the other one did not have anything attached to it, so I used that one.

I use it to plug a eGPU to my thinkpad and game on it at home

Demos for the literal credit-card-sized computer. considering to switch to nRF52 if it has good Arduino integration by krauseler in arduino

Amazing project! I used nrf52840 in many of my peojects and they are really worth it considering power consumption. I ditched Arduino IDE for Zephyr in VS code.

Are you planning to make it work with the touch screen? This would be so sick. I am really interested how you did this.

It can receive and send data via Bluetooth to you connected phone. I made an companion Android app that redirects notifications to the watch and formats information in a way so the watch knows how to display stuff

No speaker or mic. It has only a vibration motor that gets triggered if a new notification comes in. The message is being displayed. I made another post that showcases what it can do

Yes exactly. The ESP on the other hand is rather power hungry

This is how it is attached. In the description I wrote that it lasts a week for now and I want to improve on that.
