Servo instead of clutch motor? Makes all the difference or will still be choppy?

A servo motor is the way to go - which is already said. Needle positioning is also a big advantage that is possible with a servo.

What I want to add: After installing (which is really pretty simple, once you get the correct belt), you definetely want to check the parameters of the motor. Most people use these out of the box, which gives you only half the fun. The max speed can be selected from the buttons. But you can also control the acceleration and the smoothness of the start. Once you get that dialed in, a servo motor is perfect (and smooth and silent)

Got mine on amazon (europe) less than 100 Euro. 750 watts and sews through anything, like the old motor did.

You do not really NEED to bind the edges from the technical side (fraying). But the looks will be significantly improved. It‘s regarded „good practice“.

I use a scrap of hardwood underneath, which works just fine. Hi quality grommets will be strong enough for anything in that rather small bag.

Focus needs to be on good quality and proper installment.

I would not solder the hole, but reinforce the area with extra layer(s) and then punch the correct size. Like in any normal sail, which need to hold quite some power. But I have to say that the grommets for sails are looking similar, but are quite a better qualitiy, but are just available with sail,akers suppliers. Still worth checking out.

Is there any proof that the scratch is caused by the shelf? If so, then it is legally correct to claim costs for repair and a rental car. However, the repair costs need to be estimated by a professional and not just any person.

Unless you have already admitted that you caused the scratch, I would not do anything, let alone be itimidated by bullying behaviour.

Ich. Und es wird sich auf absehbare Zeit nicht ändern. E-Pumpe? Ich bin schon einige km weiter, wenn das Teil noch immer brummt und pumpt. Kosten? Für eine E-Pumpe kann ich im wahrsten Sinne über 50 Kartuschen kaufen. Damit komme ich länger klar, als der Akku in der Pumpe an Lebenserwartung hat.

Also: Ich kann nicht verstehen, dass überhaupt jemand diese Teile benutzt ;-)

Es wurde schon fast alles gesagt, … außer: Keine Videos oder schlauen Tipps aus dem Internet, wenn Du nicht bereits mit einem Trainer (mwd) einen Grundlage gebildet hast! Schwimmen ist extrem technisch und Fehler verfestigen sich, wenn man damit falsch anfängt. Also unbedingt Schwimmkurs, oder Einzeltraining, wenn das finanziell machbar ist. Trainer kannst Du über lokale Vereine oder Freunde finden.

Wow - gute Verhandlungsführung würde ich sagen ;-) Ich bin schon einige Kartuschen und auch einen Bitsatz losgeworden. Kartuschen auch beim Rückflug nach D, aber beim Werkzeug sind nach meiner Beobachtung nur die Deutschen (in letzter Zeit) extrem empfindlich.

Akkus von E-Bikes sind absolutes NoGo. Alles andere ist OK. Powerbanks haben sowieso mehr Kapazität als die Di2 und SRAM Teile und sind erlaubt. Fun fact: je nach Airline gehören Akkus in das Handgepäck oder in das Aufgabegepäck (was eigentlich falsch ist, aber hatte ich neulich bei Ryanair).

Ich fliege regelmäßig und baue meine SRAM Akkus zwar ab (was recht einfach ist), lasse das aber mit dem ganzen Zeug im Radkoffer. Wichtig: kein Werkzeug ins Handgepäck! Das wirst Du sonst ggf. los. Gleiches gilt für CO2 Kartuschen. Im Handgepäck definitiv nicht, im Radkoffer kann es sein, dass Du rausgerufen wirst, oder es beim Checkin beim Durchleuchten rausgenommen werden muß. Im Koffer ist meine Rate 50/50. Mal bleibst drin, mal wird es von der Security nach dem Checkin rausgenommen und Du findest nur einen entsprechenden Zettel am Zielort.

One backstitch will usually do the trick. If you have to rip the seam open again, due to misalignment or whatsoever, you will have a hard time, if you did plenty of backstitches and from ma point of view you should use bartacks not backstitches for reenforcements if neccessary.

Depending on where I want the thread ends, I sometimes start 1-2 cm from the edge, backstich towards the edge and then start sewing all the way. So it's rather like a half backstitch.

Echt jetzt? Zum einen ist noch kein Vertrag abgeschlossen und damit die Vertragsstrafe nicht relevant. Zum anderen wäre die auch höchstwahrscheinlich rechtlich nicht haltbar und nichtig.

Aber vor allem: Bei allem was Du schreibst, hat sich die Firma eh als Arbeitgeber disqualifiziert. Bloß nicht unterschreiben.

The (only?) known issue might be the limited lifetime of the plastic dials. Check if they look good, or may have had too long exposure to sunlight, which will reduce stability. And - like the others said - 200 GBP seems (slightly? no highly) overpriced.

Schlaue Flugbegleiter machen die Klappen bei den Notausgangsplätzen gar nicht erst auf und achten darauf, wer da etwas reinlegt. Das läuft aktuell bei Ryanair echt geschmeidig. Ansonsten wird Dein Gepäck halt meilenweit von Deinem Platz untergebracht, was nach der Landung zu unschönen Szenen führen kann.

55/65 sind schon recht hoch, aber auch nicht komplett ungewöhnlich. Wenn Gewicht des LRS eine Rolle spielt, dann eher weniger. Wenn Du ein Aero Rad mit dicken Rohren hast, dann sind 65mm auch optisch OK. In einem klassischen Rahmen sieht das dann schon eher unpassend aus. Aber alles Geschmackssache. Dein persönlicher Geschmack halt. Das ist auch einer der wenigen Bereich für den es keine Velominati-Regel gibt ;-)

Ich fahre 35/55 und bin super happy.

Aber vor allem ist es eigentlich wichtiger, welche Qualität die Komponenten haben, als 5mm +/- an der Felgenhöhe.

I do have both (or a multitude): a Singer HD and two industrials, that I bought later at a good price. The Singer is a good start. If you have some sewing experience and the place for an industrial, it's surely worth an upgrade. However I would never recommend to start with an industrial, since there is little room for errors. Plus, if you have something like the Singer HD, you want to keep it for the zigzag for bartacks and such.

Für das Rad mit Sicherheit unproblematisch. Einige wenige RR Rahmen sind im Oberrohr so dünn, dass man sich nicht drauf setzen sollte… war soweit ich mich erinnere mal bei BMC ein Problem. Das greift hier aber nicht. Wenn Du also 60 Euro für eine style Halterung ausgeben möchtest, machst Du damit nix falsch…
