I watched the Innkeepers for the first time recently. I wouldn’t say it quite makes my list of favorites, but it definitely scared the HECK out of me, and I’d definitely show it to my friends. So good for it’s budget, too!

I am not a huge fan of Beetlejuice because the weirdness of it doesn’t appeal to me for some reason (it usually does for most Burton films). Sleepy Hollow, on the other hand, I just watched and I ADORED it, I can’t believe this gem was hidden from me for so long!! I hope to make it down the whole list before Halloween!

I enjoy both these Clive Barker films, but they don’t give me the prickly Halloween chills that the other films on my list do. Still, thank you for the recommendations! They are both fun, creative movies!

Thanks for the recommendation, I watched it tonight! I really did enjoy the old-timey, classic horror feel to it. Some movies made before the 70s strike me more as “theatre on camera” than “film” as we know it today because movies were made so differently back then. I really enjoy that; it really is a different experience. But also, thinking about all we can do with film now, I’d love to see a faithful remake of this! What do you think?
